She said she would like to return to Australia every year if she could! In 2011, under an Endeavour Executive Fellowship, she was hosted in Australia by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, learning about television production and program management. She had the opportunity to experience different management positions, including working with the acquisition department and in production. "I became part of the Australia Network and ABC Children's team as an intern for 2 months to research TV channel managing processes. I developed my professional skills as I worked with a range of different ABC colleagues. We shared lots of working experiences and I learned so much from this professional development, Diem Quynh said. Inspired by the ABC3 youth program Studio 3, Ms Quynh designed a Vietnamese version called Studio 6 for VTV6. According to Diem Quynh, the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the course have helped her tremendously in developing VTV6s professional team, and contributed to understanding and cooperation between the ABC and VTV. Besides the professional aspect, the two months in Australia was a memorable time, enabling Diem Quynh to explore the country and make friends with kind and hospitable people she said. At the ABC, I experienced new working approaches, particularly for managing the quality of programming. In Vietnam, we try to make big productions with a very limited budget. We only have one or two people working on a program, not like at the ABC where you have a huge team. So when I got back from Australia, I tried to involve larger teams to produce better quality results, and thats good for us. Applications for the 2014 Endeavour Fellowships close on 30 June 2013.
