Battlesystem to 3rd edition D&D conversion

AR has been changed to comply with the new attack and AC ratings for 3rd edition. Converting THACO to Attack Bonus: Attack Bonus = 20 - THACO Converting Old AR to Attack Bonus: Attack Bonus = 20 - Old AR + Unit Modifiers* Converting Old AC to New AC: New AC = 20 - Old AC Figuring new AR from Attack Bonus: New AR = Attack Bonus Unit Modifiers* or New AR = 20 - Old AR** Attack Roll = 2d6 + New AC New AR Movement is converted BACK into 1st edition format (inches) from 3rd edition (feet), this is done by dividing the 3rd edition feet by 2.5. (i.e. 30 turns into 12) Saving Throws should all be figured using 3rd edition rules. *Unit Modifiers are from Table 9 on page 15 of Battlesystem rules. ** It is better to figure AR from attack bonus since Strength Bonuses have changed, but this gives you the general idea. AR, just like AC is now reversed.

Page 8 [4.8] COMMAND RADIUS (Paragraph 1) Every commander has a Command Radius (abbreviated CoR). The command radius of a creature is calculated by adding its charisma to its character level and Challenge Rating (for monsters only), then by dividing by two. Fighters, Rangers, Paladins and Barbarians receive a 3 bonus to CoR. Characters with the Leadership feat receive an additional 3 bonus to CoR. Table 8. 5.0 Initiative Phase Initiative is rolled for each unit on the battlefield using a d20, and re-used for the rest of the battle. Use the Initiative modifiers for the creatures that compose the unit. If more that one type of creature makes up a unit. (i.e. goblins riding worgs,) then take the lower of the initiative bonuses.

Page 15 [8.3] Determining Attack Ratings. (Paragraph 2) To determine the base Attack Rating for a figure or unit, first determine the total attack bonus for a unit with the appropriate weapon. Then subtract the Ratio adjustment from the table below to determine the Base AR.
