Fructan Kit (K-FRUC) suitable for the measurement of even trace levels of fructan (inulin or fructo-oligosaccharides, FOS) in plant and food products e.g. in grain and in infant formulations. The removal of interfering sugars through borohydride reduction also reduces the terminal reducing fructose in partially hydrolysed fructans. This leads to an underestimation of up to 20% for highly depolymerised fructans. However, if the pure FOS ingredient is available, the level of underestimation can be determined and allowed for. Fructan HK (K-FRUCHK) gives no underestimation of fructan, even with highly depolymerised samples. However, the method is not recommended for samples containing high levels of D-glucose, D-fructose, sucrose and/or maltose. Analytical Kits S S Fructan (K-FRUC) - AOAC Method 999.03; AACC Method 32-32.01 - Incorporating highly purified enzymes including recombinant exo-inulinase and endo-inulinase Fructan HK (K-FRUCHK) - Incorporating highly purified enzymes including recombinant exo-inulinase and endo-inulinase - For quantitative measurement of fructan and FOS
