Yes? answered Abraham. Im listening. 2 He said, Take your dear son Isaac whom you love and go to the land of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains that Ill point out to you. 3-5 Abraham got up early in the morning and saddled his donkey. He took two of his young servants and his son Isaac. He had split wood for the burnt offering. He set out for the place God had directed him. On the third day he looked up and saw the place in the distance. Abraham told his two young servants, Stay here with the donkey. The boy and I are going over there to worship; then well come back to you. 6 Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and gave it to Isaac his son to carry. He carried the flint and the knife. The two of them went off together. 7 Isaac said to Abraham his father, Father? Yes, my son. We have flint and wood, but wheres the sheep for the burnt offering? 8 Abraham said, Son, God will see to it that theres a sheep for the burnt offering. And they kept on walking together.

9-10 They arrived at the place to which God had directed him. Abraham built an altar. He laid out the wood. Then he tied up Isaac and laid him on the wood. Abraham reached out and took the knife to kill his son. 11 Just then an angel of GOD called to him out of Heaven, Abraham! Abraham! Yes, Im listening. 12 Dont lay a hand on that boy! Dont touch him! Now I know how fearlessly you fear God; you didnt hesitate to place your son, your dear son, on the altar for me. Memory Verse - "Our first duty is to be faithful to the one we work for" - 1 Corinthians 4:2 CH4 81 I to the hills will lift mine eyes PSALM 121 1 I to the hills will lift mine eyes. From whence doth come mine aid ? My safety cometh from the Lord, who heaven and earth hath made. 2 Thy foot hell not let slide, nor will he slumber that thee keeps. Behold, he that keeps Israel, he slumbers not, nor sleeps. 3 The Lord thee keeps, the Lord thy shade on thy right hand doth stay : the moon by night thee shall not smite, nor yet the sun by day. 4 The Lord shall keep thy soul ; he shall preserve thee from all ill. Henceforth thy going out and in God keep for ever will.

At this point Children and young people may go through to the hall for activities and refreshments Teaching and application Prayer Ch4 561 Blessed Assurance 1 Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine ! Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine ! Heir of salvation, purchase of God ; born of his Spirit, washed in his blood. This is my story, this is my song, praising my Saviour all the day long. This is my story, this is my song, praising my Saviour all the day long. 2 Perfect submission, perfect delight, visions of rapture burst on my sight ; angels descending bring from above echoes of mercy, whispers of love. 3 Perfect submission, all is at rest, I in my Saviour am happy and blest ; watching and waiting, looking above, with his goodness, lost in his love.
