MATH 5

ELEMENTARY ANALYSIS
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Math 5 is an introductory course on calculus with a discussion on some analytic geometry topics, specifically conic sections. Calculus starts with an introduction to the concept of limits, then progresses to continuity of functions. The course is mainly focused on derivatives of functions and its applications to curve sketching and optimization. Math 5 ends with a preview of the integral with applications up to area between curves. 1 QTR INTRODUCTION TO CALCULUS I. CONIC SECTIONS A. Introduction to Conics B. C. Parabola Ellipse
