Part One: YOUREpistemologicalWorldViews Summarize here your findings (even if tentative!) about your philosophies of knowledge: Absolutist, Relativist, or Evaluativist? Domains NaturalScience Social Science Art Morality Religion Item#s 1, 5, 14 4, 8, 12 3, 7, 10 6, 9, 11 2, 13, 15 YOURPhiloof K
Absolutist

Brief Reason+ Remarks

Although many theories can be thought of, there is really only one true answer.
Social sciences depend on the human mind, and one theory may be more correct, depending on the situation.

Evaluativist Relativist

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions of art, and one cannot say his is more true than another's.

Evaluativist
Absolutist

One action of certain moral degree may be better than others.

Although there are many different truths people subscribe to, there really is only one truth, although we don't have tangible proof yet.

Part Two: Waysof Knowing How important are the different Ways of Knowing in the different domains? Rank them from 1 to 5 according to importance, with 1 as MOST IMPORTANT. If you think there are other ways of knowing/judging, use the last column and specify. Domains Natural Science Social Science Art Morality Religion Sense Perception Reason Language Emotion Others?

Part Three: AUTHORITYand/orEVIDENCE/ARGUMENT When you justify claims, how much do you actually rely on External Authority and Direct Evidence for every domain? Assign a percentage to each one per domain (Just make an estimate, so NO decimal points--e.g., 25.2321%!). Make sure both total 100%. Domains % AUTHORITY % EVIDENCE/ A

Evidence holds more ground than what an expert may say given his interpretation.
Both authority and evidence have ground on social matters.

There is hardly evidence to support the evaluation of art, but a lot of credible critics. Interpreting evidence may have different results, but authorities can be credible in these matters.
There is hardly any evidence pertaining to how credible a religion is, but we can rely on the word of a lot of authorities that point to one truth.

Whydo you thinkthereis no OPINIONin Part Three?

Because opinions can differ, and it's difcult to discern an evaluation based on the varying thoughts of various people. Authority and Evidence, on the other hand, are both credible sources in terms of evaluation.
