Teenage addiction Teenage drug abuse and alcoholism are a massively growing problem. Today, you will find kids from age 10 to 1 starting to experiment with drugs and alcohol. Some major factors that causes teenage drug abuse are environment, genes, and it includes your family`s beliefs and attitude and exposure to peer group that encourages drug use, seem to play a role in initial drug use (Education)1. Depression and loneness also play a part in the factors that cause teenage drug abuse. I will be exploring these causes of teenage drug abuse. Genes, are segments of DNA located on chromosomes. They control distinct traits that can be passed on from parents to offspring. That why when a teenage uses drugs, once drugs are put into their body the addiction may be controlled by inherited traits. Physical addiction appears to occur when repeated uses of a drug that alters the way your brain feels pleasure. The addicting drug cause physical changes to some nerve cell (neurons) in your brain. Neurons use chemical called neurotransmitter to communicate (Education)1. The second cause of teen drug addiction is peer pressure. It is being influence by your friends under pressure. Social/peer pressure is huge and nowhere is the greater than during the teenage years. While peer pressure has a direct effect on a teen`s likelihood of using alcohol and drugs, the impact of social media is much more dramatic (Education)1Social media is peer

Bankhead 2 pressure gone viral maintains Jill Backfield, PH D executive director of clinical service of New York center for living. Cheri Cheng states in her article peer pressure experienced as early as childhood is often associated in teenagers who want to be a part of a group. Peer pressure starts to be a huge factor that forces young adults to decide what they want to do as opposed to what other want them to do. Peer group pressure begins in elementary school, as early as age nine.it is what kids actually encounter there on any given day according to the head researcher, Melanie Killen. Depression and loneliness are causes for teenage addiction. Depression is a serious medical condition with a broad range of symptoms. Some example are sadness, loss of interest in things you once enjoyed, thoughts of death or suicide, feeling of guilt or worthlessness. Some physical symptoms are restlessness or slowness of speech, thought, or activity, trouble concentrating or making decision and lack of energy. Feeling lonely or depressed are two very different sensations. Being lonely is more of a state of mind and that state of loneliness can change on a dime if one so desires. There can be a joy in solitude as opposed to the "down" of loneliness. There is also a difference between feeling lonely and being alone. If you are alone, you are literally a party of one (solitude), and often times that is a preferred choice. If you are indeed feeling lonely, missing the company of others, you have the ability - if you so choose- to move into a more populated venue. How many times have we said to our friends..."I'm so lonely, I just don't know what to do?" Often the cure is literally: get out and meet people, join a book club, take yoga classes, ET. Teenage depression is a serious issue and problem that tends to affect many teens .Such depression if not treated in time can cause immense problem and even suicide or violence in extreme cases. In the article, depression

Bankhead 3 symptom, Depression is one of the most common problem in the united states affect individuals of all races, age group as well an economic background. The final cause of teen addiction is anxiety. Stress is a normal physiologic response that continues for a long time without relief cause physical and emotional illness. Teens face a lot of problems.
