~ The crowded hours come to us one at a time. This is the only way they can come. The day may bring in many, many tasks, many problems but they can come only in single file.

Simple Tips from a Time Management Consultant a. Do first the chores that you feel are most important. b. Schedule tasks by jotting them down on post it notepads, then stick each note on a calendar.

c. Get outside the house at least twice a day. d. Dont over- prepare. e. Minimize distractions. f. Create a simple time- saving system around your home. g. Simply your shopping. h. Get to work or to an appointment five minutes early. i. Streamline your schedule. j. To save time in cooking, when fixing a meal, save a part of it for a ready meal the next day.

~ Most people suffer tensions in varying degrees. It is important that in the middle of such tension, people should take time out to relax.

~ Relaxation will not remove fear, nor will it remove anxiety but it does remove the tension arising from both. It is not the actual stress, but the tension caused by stress that does the damage.

Personal discipline is important in terms of time, personal habits, will power, and emotional stresses. These can streamline the direction of ones life.

There is growth and strength from ones weaknesses if they are turned to useful assets. Accepting weaknesses and handicaps serve as the baseline data for building ones personal effectiveness and confidence.
People need to grow within the constraint of their external and internal resources. One can plan and be determined about the plan. There are ways of achieving more with less time. This is how one can become a competent individual.

SELF- AWARENESS
~ Define as the degree of clarity with which we perceive and understand, both consciously and unconsciously, all the factors that affect our lives. ( Venderber, 1987) Knowing and understanding oneself is the first important step to ones growth and development as a person. It is an endless exploration which may go on and through- out ones life.

~ No two persons are the same in abilities, interests, potentials, outlook, needs, values, strength and limitations. Self- discovery is the beginning step toward growth and change. The change and growth should signal the directions where one is going.

~ It is very hard to conceal ones selfconcept from others. The way we reveal ourselves to others is the way others will respond to us. How we see ourselves and how others see us are two different things.

~ Being able to look at oneself realistically is the beginning step in self awareness and it is basic to self-understanding as well as our understanding of others.

~ Getting feedback from others gives the opportunity to increase ones awareness of oneself to determine the consequences on ones behavior and change or modify his own behavior if necessary.

SELF-ESTEEM
~ It is a sense of adequacy and personal selfworth. It indicates how one actually feels about himself. ~ Genuine and lasting inner peace and happiness are only possible to the degree that we accept and feel good about ourselves, in spite of our human mistakes and failures.

ATTITUDE AWARENESS
~ Attitudes can give new dimensions to ones thinking. ~ A healthy mind is the outcome of positive attitudes. Negative attitudes are resistors which hold us back, retard effectiveness, and cause others to others to respond negatively toward us. Positive attitudes accelerate fulfillment in ones life.

Happiness according to Rubin, is the feeling that makes life truly worthwhile. Others describe happiness to include being at peace with oneself, feeling comfortable, enjoying self-acceptance and being tension free. According to Rubin, there are times when all of us need compassion, tenderness, and love from one another to stir our own dormant self- compassion and love of self, both of which are necessary in order to be happy.

Ways to Achieve a Positive Outlook


There are a number of ways by which a positive outlook in life may be achieved : a. Remember the truth that life is tough. Justice is good but rare. High expectations of any kind will lead to disappointments and unhappiness.

b. Learn to accept your human assets as well as your human liability. c. Learn to recognize self- hate both inside and outside yourself. d. Make maximum use of compassion in accepting all aspects of yourself so that you can attain happiness. e. Remember that happiness is everyday living. f. Believe in yourself.

g. Trust yourself. h. Schedule fun time and alone time. i. Make a list of things you like and those you dont like. j. Meditate, exercise, and pray often.

CREATIVE THINKING
~ Ninety percent ( 90 % ) of our original ideas die upon conception. Ten percent ( 10 % ) become somewhat developed. Half of the 10 % see the light of day. This is because we find it difficult to believe that we can have what we want in life. ~ What we wish for and what we expect must be combined. What you want and what you get are two different things. The only reality is that we believe what we will become.

INNATE LOVE FOR PEOPLE


The factor that lower efficiency in a company are : discouragement, demoralization, monotony, dissatisfaction, irritations, detractions, and unappreciated efforts. Love, respect for the rights of others and continuous regard for the welfare of others, especially among employees in a company, can spell the difference between success and failure. Trust and respect are two prime ingredients in any invitation to grow.

SELF- CONFIDENCE
Confidence in ones work can achieved by doing the following: a. dare try to succeed. b. transform self-consciousness to selfconfidence c. strive toward mental relaxation d. respond to the needs of others e. have confidence in your values

f. learn to listen g. be a doer instead of a sitter h. be quick to compliment and be slow to criticize.

WAYS OF IMPROVING PERSONALITY


There are such things as desirable behavior, undesirable behavior and behavior which should be totally changed for another new behavior. As individuals, we are pliant and modifiable, adaptable and flexible. These characteristics will allow an individual to improve himself. ~ Treat other people as very important persons. ~ Continuously grow, change and develop. ~ Be time- conscious. ~ Have self-confidence.
