Recife, Brazil Deadline: July 24, 2013, 23:59 GMT

Good day IFMSA! This is to announce that we are looking for delegates to the Third Global Forum on Human Resources for Health which will happen on November 10-13, 2013 (with a pre-forum side event on November 9 to be hosted by IFMSA) in Recife, Brazil. Since 2008, the Global Health Workforce Alliance a global partnership led by WHO that serves as a common platform for action to address the global health workforce crisis has been convening Global Forums on Human Resources for Health, bringing together a host of HRH stakeholders to find solutions to the HRH crisis. Now, at the Third Global Forum, participants will examine how to build a foundation for universal health coverage (UHC) through strengthening the health workforce and will elicit HRH commitments to rise to the grand challenge. This year's forum, with the theme Human Resources for Health: foundation for Universal Health Coverage and the post-2015 development agenda and slogan Rising to the grand challenge of human resources for health will expect over 1500 participants, including Heads of State, Ministries of Health and Finance, leading Civil Society Organisations, international HRH experts, health professionals, dedicated health workers, researchers and policy makers. For more information, visit http://www.who.int/workforcealliance/forum/2013/en/index.html. Important criteria for selection of delegates include interest and experience in global health advocacy, as well as potential to contribute to IFMSA's growing efforts on health workforce and medical education issues. However, we also encourage emerging members who are committed to learn new knowledge, gain new skills, and participate in IFMSA's projects even beyond the conference. If you are interested, please submit the following to lwho@ifmsa.org on or before Wednesday, July 24, 2013, 23:59 GMT. Please put Application to 3rd Global Forum on HRH as the subject of the e-mail.
