Modify GSM Neighboring Cell(MOD U2GNCELL)

Function
Modify a neighboring GSM cell for a WCDMA cell. The basic information on the GSM cell is modified by MOD UEXT2GCELL . Here, the information to be modified refers to the information on the neighboring relationship. For details, refer to the parameter description.

Note
1. Before this command is executed, the neighboring relationship between the specified WCDMA cell and its neighboring GSM cells must have been configured by ADD U2GNCELL . 2. When the Neighbouring Cell Priority Flag is TRUE, the priority of the neighbouring cell must be different with each other. 3. To the single host cell or the primary host cell, the RncId is the current RncId. To the secondary host, the RncId is the RncId of the correspondingly primary host cell. 4. To the double host cell, only the primary host cell can be configured and the secondary host cell can not be configured.

Parameter ID RNCId Parameter Name RNC ID Parameter Description Meaning: Uniquely identifying an RNC. GUI Value Range: 0~4095 Actual Value Range: 0~4095 Unit: None Default Value: None Recommended Value: None Meaning: Uniquely identifying a WCDMA cell, to which neighboring GSM cells can be added. GUI Value Range: 0~65535 Actual Value Range: 0~65535 Unit: None Default Value: None Recommended Value: None Meaning: Uniquely identifying a GSM cell. GUI Value Range: 0~65535 Actual Value Range: 0~65535 Unit: None Default Value: None Recommended Value: None Meaning: Cell individual offset for the GSM cell, which is set according to the topographic feature. This parameter is used for decision making for the inter-RAT handover. The larger the value of the parameter, the higher the handover priority of the GSM cell. The smaller the value of the parameter, the lower the handover priority of the GSM cell. GUI Value Range: -50~50 Actual Value Range: -50~50 Unit: dB Default Value: None Recommended Value: 0 Meaning: Offset between the neighboring GSM cell and WCDMA cell. This specifies the offset of the measurement value of the neighboring GSM cell signal quality. This parameter is used for RSSI measurement. The offset is subtracted from the neighboring cell measurement value before cell reselection. In cell reselection algorithm, this parameter is used for moving the border of a cell. Content: During cell selection or resection, the larger the value of the parameter, the smaller the probability of selecting inter-RAT neighboring cells. The smaller the value of the parameter, the larger the probability of selecting inter-RAT neighboring cells. This parameter can be configured by the network planner according to reality. For details, refer to 3GPP TS 25.331. As for the impact on network performance: The larger the value of the parameter, the lower the probability of selecting neighboring cells. The smaller the value the parameter, the higher the probability of doing so. GUI Value Range: -50~50 Actual Value Range: -50~50 Unit: dB Default Value: None Recommended Value: 0 Meaning: Minimum RX level of the GSM cell. Before the UE camps on the cell, take the measurement of the signal quality in the cell. If the quality is better than this parameter, this indicates that the cell can obtain better QoS and the UE is allowed to camp on this cell. Otherwise, the UE cannot obtain good QoS in this cell and does not camp on the cell. GUI Value Range: -58~-13 Actual Value Range: -115~-25, step:2 Actual value = -115 + (58 + GUI value) * 2 Unit: dBm Default Value: None Recommended Value: -50 Meaning: HCS cell reselection penalty timer. The larger the value of the parameter, the longer the HCS penalty time. The smaller the value of the parameter, the shorter the HCS penalty time. GUI Value Range: D0, D10, D20, D30, D40, D50, D60 Actual Value Range: 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 Unit: s Default Value: None Recommended Value: D0

Parameter ID TempOffset1

Parameter Name HCS Cell Reselect TempOffset1[dB]

Parameter Description Meaning: Offset of HCS cell CPICH RSCP measurement value in cell selection or reselection. The larger the value of the parameter, the lower the probability of selecting neighboring cells. The smaller the value of the parameter, the higher the probability of doing so. GUI Value Range: D3~0 D6~1 D9~2 D12~3 D15~4 D18~5 D21~6 INFINITY Actual Value Range: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, INFINITY Unit: dB Default Value: None Recommended Value: D3 Meaning: Indicating whether to perform blind handover. FALSE: The cell is not in the alternative cells for blind handover, so blind handover to this cell cannot be triggered. TRUE: The cell is in the alternative cells for blind handover, so blind handover to this cell might be triggered. GUI Value Range: FALSE, TRUE Actual Value Range: FALSE, TRUE Unit: None Default Value: None Recommended Value: FALSE

BlindHoFlag

Blind handover flag

BlindHOPrio

Blind handover Priority Meaning: Indicating the priority of blind handover. The value 0 represents the highest priority. Priorities 0~15 are assigned to concentric neighboring cells, which can ensure successful handover. Priorities 16~30 are assigned to neighboring cells for blind handover, which cannot ensure successful handover. GUI Value Range: 0~30 Actual Value Range: 0~30 Unit: None Default Value: None Recommended Value: None Meaning: This parameter is used as the DRD Ec/No threshold of whether to perform the blind handover. This parameter is used as the DRD Ec/No threshold of whether to perform the blind handover. When choosing a DRD candidate cell, if the Ec/No value of the current cell is greater than the threshold of inter-RAT/inter-frequency neighboring cell, the DRD is permitted. GUI Value Range: -24~0 Actual Value Range: -24~0 Unit: dB Default Value: None Recommended Value: -18 Meaning: Flag of whether to include this neighboring relationship in the System Information Block 11 (SIB11). This parameter indicates whether the neighboring cell information is delivered in SIB11. FALSE: not to include the neighboring information in the SIB11.
