End of the Year PowerPoint

Assignment
1. Click on the Start icon at the bottom of the screen and scroll to all programs.
Next, find the Microsoft Office folder, and click on Microsoft Office PowerPoint
2003.
2. A screen will look like the one in Figure 1
below.

3. Click on Formatin the menu bar. Then, click on Slide Design.

4. On the right side of the screen different slide designs will appear. Look over them
and click on the one you like. It will be added to your presentation. If it is not
there click Format > Slide Design

5. Now, click in the top box that reads click to add title and type 2008-2009 School
Year.

6. Click in the bottom box that reads click to add subtitle and type your name, the
date, and your grade.

7. Click on Insertat the top of the screen in the menu bar. Click on New Slide. Now
you will see a screen that looks like Figure 2 above.

8. Click in the top box and type The Best Things about This Year Were. (Does
not have to be school related.)

9. Click in the bottom box and type one thing you liked or enjoyed this year. Then
press the enter key.

10. Next, type in a second thing you like, and press the enter key.

11.Finally, type in a third thing you like and press the enter key.
12.Now, click on Insertat the top of the screen in the menu bar. Click on New Slide.
You should see another new screen that looks like Figure 2.

13.Click in the top box and type the title The Worst Things about This Year Were.
(Does not have to be school related.)
14.Click in the bottom box and type three things that you thought were the worst this
year. Make sure to press the enter key after each item just as you did for the
previous slide.

15.Add a new slidethe same way you have been doing it for the past two slides. In
this slide, type The Things I Will Remember Best about Polo Park Are.

16. Click in the bottom box and type three things that you will remember most about
your school. Make sure to press the enter key after each item just as you did for
the previous slide.

17.Add a new slidethe same way you have been doing it for the past slides. In this
slide, type My Favorite Thing from Mr. Shoemaker’s Class was.

18. Click in the bottom box and type your favorite thing about this class.

19.Add a new slidethe same way you have been doing it for the past slides. In this
slide, type My Least Favorite Thing from Mr. Shoemaker’s Class was.

20. Click in the bottom box and type your least favorite thing about this class.

21.Add a new slidethe same way you have been doing it for the past slides. In this
slide, type The Future.

22. Click in the bottom box and type what you think next year will be like for you
next year at whatever school you will be attending. Make sure to press the enter
key after each item just as you did for the previous slide.

23.Now add clip art (Here’s how: insert > picture > clip art) and transitions. To
do this explore through the menus at the top. Remember, you can always click
undo to fix a mistake.

24. When you finish, save it in My Documents in a folder called Shoemaker.

25. Then print your document as a handout. (Here’s how: file > print > Print what:
handouts > Slides per page 6 > change the printer to Lexmark > OK.
