INTRODUCTION :
This Assignment is based on the Library process, how the issuing process to return process are followed in the library. We have to analyse the existing (AS IS) process and find out the problems which makes difficulties in it and from the analysis we have to create a new Automated process flow chart for the library process. Also we have to Prepare Questionnaires for Customers & Library Staff.
An analyst who visited and inspected the library and its process, for the better and effective process they wants to develop a Software application so work can be reduced and problems can be solved and maximum utilisation of books can be done. The following questions would be ask to the Librarian. 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 9) 10) What is your cataloguing experience in library ? What weakness will you work on to improve your professional skills ? What types of policies and procedures you might develop ? What is your technological experience ? Describe your technology experience in computers, Web design, E-resources, web-2.0 What databases would you recommend adding to our existing online server & collection? What kinds of features you want to add in the application ? Have you ever faced bugs in existing application ? what kinds of bugs ? Describe a workplace conflict you encountered and how did you go about resolving the problem ? Describe the situation where you initiated change. What was it and what steps did you take for the change ?
