Cleaning and Maintenance Instructions for Lino Sports

IMPORTANT: DLW SPORTS SYSTEMS IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED BY INSTALLATION THAT DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THESE INSTRUCTIONS. Only two products are necessary: A cleaning agent of maximum pH value of 9.0 (product 1) and a combined cleaning and maintenance product (product 2). Both should come from the same manufacturer. Building completion/ Fine cleaning After completion, and before the sports hall is used for the first time, use product 1. Remove rough dirt by sweeping and vacuuming with a single disc machine and a cleaning agent of maximum 9.0 pH level. Before use, and after intensive cleaning use product 2 a cleaning agent in high concentration as specified by the manufacturer. Use a mop to clean the length of the hall once, and then once across the hall.

Initial care treatment

Regular cleaning

Daily: damp mopping or dry mopping to remove dust, use product 2 or plain water. Weekly: wet mopping with an automatic cleaning machine or mop and cleaning agent in low concentration (use product 2). Removal of dirt with an automatic cleaning machine, green pad and a cleaning agent of maximum 9.0 pH value suitable for linoleum. After every non-sports use, or at least once a year, the floor must be intensively cleaned. After each intensive cleaning an initial care treatment has to be carried out. With spray on cleaning agents with a soft or medium hard pad, disc type cleaning machine (single or multi-disc) and a spray cleaner.

Removal of streaks

If the initial care treatment is not carried out adequately the floor will be susceptible to soiling. Regular cleaning, as well as the intensive cleaning prevents the surface becoming slippery and reduces the risk of accidents. Make sure that no cleaning water penetrates into any of the access chambers for the sports equipment, or into the sub floor construction. If the sports hall is not used over a long period of time, the covers of the access chambers for any sports equipment must be removed. At the entrances, large dirt-catching surfaces must be provided. Residues of tobacco or burns can be removed with scouring powder and coars Nylpads.

Important points:

Chewing gum and resin can be removed with cold spray. Lines can be drawn on the linoleum with a special two-part PU colour applied in strict compliance with sporting rules and regulations, ideally by an expert.
