THE COMPANY
BETACAVI s.r.l. is one of the leading quality companies in its sector with major activities in europe and other international markets. Established more than 30 years ago, it now has advanced production technology and a site area of 24000sq metres. BETACAVI is accredited with iso

9001 and en 50117 certification and focuses on: careful selection of quality suppliers, regular staff training, constant technological innovation of production and quality control systems. Flexibility throughout the organisation ensures customers are guaranteed the best service from receipt of enquiry through to the final despatch of the product.

Presences of BETA CAVI s.r.l. in Europe.

MANUFACTURING Latest technology machinery and boasting more than 30 years of know how in the sector have promoted BETACAVI one of the European most complete and innovative coaxial cable manufacturer for Wireless and Broadband Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) applications. Starting from the extrusion process where in real time we check the production parameters like : - Diameters and Roundness (laser) - Voltage Test - Lump Detection - Capacitance - Expansion Rate and Impedance.

We also record and get report on the whole production by on line graphics. To the braiders hall where we have a production capacity of more than 700.000 meters per day.

The IEC standard 68-2 part 3 Basic environmental testing procedure define the damp heat test procedure. During a period of 21 days the cable is subjected to a continuous stress of temperature (40 2C) and humidity (93 2/3 %) to reproduce the influence of moisture. According to the norm , after the damp heat test the attenuation of the cable must not have increased more than 5% respect pre-test value. Physical foam (gas injected) dielectric is a standardized process that BETACAVI has implemented since many years. As result of the measurement we obtained 3,5% worst attenuation values starting from 1000 MHz compared to the values measured before the DH Test.

PHYSICAL FOAM AND SKIN-FOAM-SKIN EXTRUSION PROCESS

Thinner coaxial cables compared to the existing ones in

the market but with same or better features Really insusceptible to moisture (much closer and regular expansion cells in the dielectric) More robust and flexible cables

Better Structural Return Loss parameters Lower attenuations Impedance more stable Better velocity ratio values

Above mentioned procedures are the basis to build up our entire range of coaxial cables that we have divided in terms of family groups in function of the application.

Further step was to improve the percentage of nitrogen gas up to 72% so to achieve extremely high quality standards that today we can guarantee for 15 years providing enormous advantages for the end user in terms of durability, flexibility and saving costs. To exceed Physical foam performance and to improve electrical and mechanical parameters has been introduced the Skin-Foam-Skin technique that provides two extra layers of PE materials respectively on the inner conductor and on the outer part of the dielectric. The reason is to compensate the irregularity of the material it self during extrusion process improving the adhesion of the material to the inner conductor and impermeability of the dielectric obtaining results that combined to the previous mentioned can highly exceed and satisfy the most severe international standards.
