The following guidance is effective immediately and is in force until further notice. General Rule It is important to be able to determine which customers continue to use Mine2-4D and which customers have changed and are now using Studio 5D Planner. As such: Mine2-4D permanent keys will only be replaced on the same UID with Studio 5D Planner. They will never co-exist on the same UID as bound. A license for Studio 5D Planner product will not be able to run Mine2-4D v12. A license for a Studio 5D Planner component will not be able to run Mine2-4v12 component. Migration of Mine2-4D v12 to Studio 5D Planner is free of charge provided license is under maintenance.

Migration procedure Once a customer wishes to migrate to Studio 5D Planner: The OpCo will generate a 30 day temporary license on a new UID with an equivalent configuration as that of existing Mine2-4D full keys. The OpCo must manage the customer through the migration process so that any concerns are addressed Once the customer agrees to commit to the migration, the OpCo registers the details on the Studio 5D Planner SharePoint site. This will automatically generate an e-mail to register@datamine.co.uk. The status of the change will appear on the Studio 5D Planner site. The OpCo will send the customer the Studio 5D Planner full keys and confirm they have been installed and the customer has completed migration successfully.

Migration of Partially Maintained licenses CDCL will generate replacement license key with a Maintenance Expiry Date equivalent to the first seat to drop maintenance. OpCo will then need to generate Maintenance Key to maintain relevant seats to correct Maintenance Expiry Date. OpCo will send both the replacement license key and maintenance key to customer and ensure they install them in the correct order.

Notes 1. Mine2-4D Reconciliation will be replaced but not available until mid 2012. 2. Mine Layout Optimizer, Mineable Reserves Optimizer, Whittle Lerchs Grossman 3D Interface, Whittle Lerchs Grossman 4D Interface and Mineable Shape Optimizer components will be able to be used in Studio and Studio 5D Planner. 3. Ring Designer requires a customised upgrade plan for affected customers. Customers using Ring Designer would need to migrate to DeswikCAD + iRing. Those solution are expected to available in May 2012. 4. EPSOT was licensed as GMSI published product. Future sales of SOT will be a CAE Mining published product. 5. MineCAD AutoStope Creator (even though from its name it appears to be a component of MineCAD, it actually works with Mine2-4D)

Globally there are a number of customers that have purchased GMSIs Auto stope creator. During the course of discussions with these customers they have expressed an interest in MSO and asked if there is a mechanism to upgrade from Autostope creator to MSO. We have agreed with the author of MSO to provide an upgrade path for existing customers from MineCAD AutoStope Creator to MSO as per the following: a) b) c) d) e) An upgrade cost of US$4k per licenses plus 12 months maintenance (US$2.1k). The upgrade cost is 100% authors fee and directly payable to the author. The distributors fee for upgrading is waived. Maintenance is as per the existing publishing/distribution agreement and pricing calculator. This offer is only available for customers renewing Autostope Creator maintenance within their next recurring maintenance cycle. (i.e. for maintenance renewals from 1st September 2011 to 30 July 2012). If customers do not elect to upgrade as part their 2011/2012 maintenance cycle, they will need to purchase MSO at the full price of US$14k plus annual maintenance. The offer is only available if customers elect to have Mine2-4D maintenance contracts with CAE Mining. MSO is not a like for like replacement of AutoStope Creator and customers should not expect all auto-stope creator functions are imbedded in MSO. Customers need to be aware of MSO V1 functionality and the functionality for MSO V2.
