The association is a a public-private partnership based on three operational areas: public sector (Local Councils) representing 35% of the members, private sector - 44% (Economic Agents) and civil society sector representing 21% of all partners. Tinutul Closani LAG has developed its local strategy based on its two strong elements: natural heritage and rural heritage. The strategy includes measures enhancing citizens involvement in the preservation and promotion of natural resources: Increase citizens awareness on territorial development potential. Awareness of the population and institutions involved in region's biodiversity Develop plans to protect natural heritage Implement projects to promote sustainable management of natural protected areas (ecotourism, bio agriculture, alternative energy etc.) Improve entrepreneurial skills of business people and farmers who need to develop models of good practice in the exploitation of natural resources and sustainable development. Promotion of local products using the balanced exploitation of local resources. Promoting an active civic participation Public awareness of the benefits gained from the development of an organic lifestyle.
