COURSE TITLE
INTRODUCTION TO COGNITIVE SCIENCE (Pengenalan Sains Kognitif) KMF1014 4 None This course introduces concepts and ideas in the various disciplines that contribute to the field of Cognitive Science. Topics include Cognitive Psychology, Neuroscience, Linguistics, Artificial Intelligence and Philosophy of the Mind. Lecture-based teaching, small-group assignment, lab report and group project are instructional methods and strategies used to facilitate students' achievement of the learning outcomes for this course. (Kursus ini memperkenalkan konsep-konsep dan idea-idea dari pelbagai disiplin yang menyumbang kepada bidang Sains Kognitif. Topik-topik termasuk Psikologi Kognitif, Neurosains, Linguistik, Kepintaran Buatan dan Falsafah Minda. Pendekatan kuliah, tugasan kumpulan kecil, laporan makmal dan projek kumpulan adalah kaedah pengajaran dan strategi pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan bagi membimbing pelajar untuk mencapai hasil pembelajaran kursus ini. )
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this course, students will be able to: o Describe basic concepts and ideas in the various disciplines that contribute to the field of Cognitive Science. (C2) o Infer some human cognition and machine intelligence concepts through participation in experiments on areas relevant to the field of Cognitive Science. (P2) o Discuss developments in the field of Cognitive Science and applications of Cognitive Science concepts, ideas and values in students' own area of specialization. (A2, CS)
