Epicor Management Reporter Integration

1 Welcome and Introduction

Welcome to the Epicor Management Reporter Integration guide. This document is intended as a starting point to install and configure Epicor Management Reporter. This document does not describe the installation of the actual Microsoft Management Reporter software. Epicor Management Reporter allows integrating Microsoft Office PerformancePoint 2007 Management Reporter and the Epicor 9.05 application. Epicor Management Reporter helps you create and generate various financial reports by acting as a data adaptor, or "plug-in", by processing the requests of Microsoft Management Reporter and providing data from the Epicor 9.05 application data base.

2 Pre-Installation Steps
Complete the following steps before you start the Epicor Management Reporter Integretion installation.

2.1 Review Epicor Management Reporter Features

Use these steps to review the features, functionality and limitations of the Epicor Management Reporter. 1. Review the following features of Epicor Management Reporter: a. calculate balances based on all segments b. select various drill-down levels: financials, accounts or transaction c. compare data from multiple financial years due to cross-year reports 2. Review the access to functionality that Epicor Management Reporter provides to its users: Epicor financial periods (calendars) Chart of Accounts General Ledger transactions Actual and budget data (scenarios) Various balance and transaction attributes 3. Review the report generation limits of the Epicor Management Reporter: Only posted transactions are used for generating reports. Since Epicor contains only balances and not budgeting transactions, you cannot combine actual data and budget data on the transaction level. Reports can be generated in the General Ledger book currency. Rollups are not supported. Tree import is not supported.
