02. Mission Activities at Mary Help of Christians Church:

i. Mary Help of Christians Parish Registered Catholic families: 650 Nature of the parish population: Mostly lower middle class and poor families migrated to the town in search of livelihood. The parish also comprises of teachers and professors from other parts of Tamil Nadu working in our institutions. Total number of anbiams: 34 (main station 29 + Sagayanagar 4 + Boomikuppam 1) a. Regular Mass & Liturgical Services in the Parish: Weekday Mass: Sundays: Sub-station: Chaplaincy for the Religious: Total no. of Catechists Contract with the diocese 06.30 am daily & Tues. 06.30 pm 06.15 am & 7.30 am once in a week in all the substations once in a week (Boomikuppam) No in perpetuity

b. Sunday Catechism Sunday catechism classes are organized in the parish at 8.30 am.

Hostel:
There are 13 deserving poor hostel boys from remote places. They are spiritually well taken care of through the following programmes:- Daily Mass and prayer, Rosary, confession, Good Night Talks, celebration of feasts, etc..

Salesian Cooperators:
There are altogether 28 members in this unit. They are actively involved in the activities of the parish under the leadership of the Rector. They help out in the organization of Sunday Catechism classes and other spiritual activities of the Church.

Extension services:
The poor and deserving school-going poor children are helped through the semi-boarding. They are provided with necessary study ambience and nutrition for good health.
