Attendees meet in the lobby of the JW Marriott Hotel to begin afternoon programming.
Each attendee will choose between four walking tour options during which they will visit two local sites for 45 minutes each. Each walking tour will host 50-60 guests and be guided by a local host. There will be sufficient walk time for all groups to be guided between tour sites.

Grand Valley State Universitys Johnson Center for Philanthropy is a leader in providing key research and data on key issues facing communities across Michigan. Created more than 20 years ago, it has become critical for many philanthropic foundations and other organizations and businesses as a partner in research and evaluation. Grand Rapids Community Foundation helped create the Community Research Institute, which is a component of the Johnson Center. We will discuss the Johnson Centers role in helping to guide foundations and others in many community improvement efforts.
