WE GATHER TO GLORIFY GOD

PRELUDE Chorale and Finale Brass Quintet and Organ CALL TO WORSHIP One: Many: One: Many: One: Many: Psalm 98:1-6 Johannes Brahms, 1833-1897

Peter Ro

Sing a new song to the Lord, whose right hand and holy arm have brought salvation. The Lord has made known salvation, has shown justice to the lands, has remembered truth and love for the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Shout to the Lord, all the earth, sing out your joy. Sing psalms to the Lord with harp, with sound of music. With trumpets and the sound of the horn acclaim the Holy One, the Lord.

HYMN 138 (Blue Hymnal) Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!

Nicaea

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Peter Ro

Merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against in you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart and mind and strength. We have not loved our neighbor as ourselves. In your mercy, forgive what we have been, help us amend what we are, and direct what we shall be, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways. We pray in Jesus name. Amen. PRESENTATION OF TITHES, OFFERINGS, AND GIFTS SOLO The Twenty-Third Psalm Pablo Talamante, tenor

Albert Hay Malotte, 1895-1964

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his names sake. Yea, tho I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever, and evermore.

GLORIA PATRI 579 (Blue Hymnal) SOLO Ill Walk with God Pablo Talamante, tenor

Greatorex

Nicholas Brodszky, 1905-1958

Ill walk with God from this day on, his helping hand Ill lean upon. This is my prayer, my humble plea, may the Lord be ever with me. There is no death, though eyes grow dim. There is no fear when Im near to him. Ill lean on him forever, and hell forsake me never. He will not fail me as long as my faith is strong. Whatever road I may walk along, Ill walk with God, Ill take his hand. Ill talk with God, hell understand. Ill pray to him, each day to him, and hell hear the words that I say. His hand will guide my throne and rod and Ill never walk alone while I walk with God. Paul Francis Webster, 1954
