1. PURPOSE
The purpose of this document is to give a brief summary on the Release Delivery corrections content.

3. NEW / CHANGED FUNCTIONALITY 3.1 BSS21309 Orthogonal Sub Channel implementation

Orthogonal sub channel (OSC) is an application SW feature controlled with license.OSC is a voice capacity feature providing two MSs using AMR allocated on the same HR radio channel. OSC can double TRX channel capacity for voice on optimal radio propagation conditions without any impact to handsets, but SAIC (DARP Ph1) RX is required. Voice channel capacity of BSC will remain the same. A broad enough LAPD signalling link is required to handle the increased amount of radio measurements and signalling caused by increased amount of calls per TRX. Operator shall define at minimum a 32 kbit/s LAPD signalling link, when OSC is enabled in the TRX. note: it is the users responsibility to ensure that where applicable signalling links defined at the BSC and BTS match, issues with calls maturing and reported KPIs may be affected if there is a disparity.

3.2 BSS21534 Orthogonal Sub Channel Full rate with SAIC MS

OSC Full Rate with SAIC MS (also referred as Double Full Rate or DFR) serves two AMR FR calls on SAIC capable handsets simultaneously on a single full rate traffic channel in a similar way as the feature, Double Half Rate with SAIC MS (DHR) serves two AMR HR calls on SAIC capable handsets simultaneously on single half rate traffic channel. OSC Full Rate is an optional feature controlled by using an On-Off license and a capacity license. OSC Full Rate with SAIC MS (Activation License) is an ON/OFF license and provides an initial capacity of 100 simultaneous DFR Pairs.

3.3 Randomising Fill bits in L2 Messaging

As per the current implementation, when the length indicator of a Layer 2 frame has a value less than N201, the frame contains fill bits which are either 00101011 or 11111111". This feature discontinues the use of the 2B fill pattern in the end of Layer 2 frames sent by the mobile station and by the BTS.

Every L2 filling byte excluding the first byte that is sent in SDCCH and FACCH is now to be randomized by the BTS. Reason for this change is security purpose

3.4 Make UL BS UL RLT Increase as a configurable parameter

Currently in the drop call process, the radio link time out process decreases one step when BS can't receive SACCH properly, and would increase two steps after get SACCH properly. The radio link countdown would decrease to zero if can't receive SACCH for some time. For this release the new feature Make UL BS UL RLT increase steps as configurable parameter, by using this feature, operator shall be able to adjust size of a single increase step for the Uplink Radio Link timeout counter which is calculated and controlled by BTS The counter control is a connection specific and based on used radio codec.
