Work Office of Admissions and Scholarship Programs seeks a graduate assistant to work with prospective and incoming students at the USC School of Social Work. Position Description: The Graduate Assistant position with the USC School of Social Work provides an excellent opportunity for graduate student to gain experience in university admissions. Following the cycle of the admissions process, the primary tasks involve helping with admission processing, recruitment activities in the summer and fall, and admissions yield activities in the spring. Responsibilities: -Working with prospective Master of Social Work students to guide through the application process -Application processing and data entry -Data analysis -Tracking student data -Representing Office of Admissions at recruitment events -Assisting with marketing efforts -Assisting with scholarship review coordination Ideal candidate: -High level of interpersonal and communication skills -Interest in college admissions and recruiting -Proficient in Word, Excel -Knowledge of SIS (Student Information System) -Team player -Detail oriented -Previous office administrative experience (preferred) -Must be a current graduate student (not open to MSW students) Compensation: 8 units of tuition for one year August 2013 July 2014.
