A Co-Curricular Activity for Fairview International School - Subang

The Library being the centre in promoting independent knowledge acquisition is offering this co -curricular activity to all PYP and MYP Inquirers for Academic Year 2013-2014. This CCA aims to support the honing of students young inquisitive minds by driving out their innate heart of volunteerism and their passion for reading and develop their cultural as well as international mindedness. PLAN OF ACTION OBJECTIVES To provide participant the programme guidelines, expected conduct and the benefits of an outstanding member. To be able to provide a help in organizing and maintaining the school librarys ambiance. To become good ambassadors of reading and independent learning to the student body. To promote centre wide Current Awareness awareness on latest issues Drive concerning Malaysia and the world. Prepare and post graphic and textual information posters around the portals of the centre for all in the academic community to read. Daily trivia during school assembly. Steer Centre Participation to Fairviews Global National Book Week Celebration Expedition

To activate members participation to Fairviews global wide celebration of reading. To learned beyond school portals on Libraries and Information centres available for access within Malaysia. To enhance enthusiasm on reading and literacy.

-Plan activities. -Club/CCA and Student Council coordination -Suggest Parent Participants -Invite Malaysian book writers / authors.

Exemplary Award and Certificate of Volunteerism will be given to outstanding members in the Honours Day. Special date due extension of another 7 days and date due fine discount of up to 50% to all active members. (Active members are define as members with good standing; participates to all activities of the club and attends session regularly and with no consecutive absences of more than three times)
