2013 CASTLE HILLS HOMES SALES RECAP


The first half sales statistics for homes sold in Castle Hills show that our neighborhood remains a very popular choice for families in the metroplex. Sales units totaled 116, an increase of 28.8% over 2012. Castle Hills continues to outperform the broad area housing metrics as well. Frisco unit sales increased 19.4%, and Plano grew 22.5% during the first half of 2013. I believe Castle Hills will remain a very competitive subdivision due to its location, mix of amenities as a master planned community, and a solid core of community-centric residents. The Dallas area has now become one of the best real estate area' of the country for sales and median price growth. The combination of relatively low interest rates and the overall

shortage of homes available for sale (less than 3 months supply in many areas) should lead to strong price growth over the short term. Foreclosure postings are down nearly 43% from a year ago, reducing the drag on prices, and helping support DFW's 13th consecutive month of home price increases.
