SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS
Vacation Bible School was simply GREAT! We started out the week with 28 kids and ended up with a total of 41 kids! We learned how to serve our family, friends, neighbors, community, and Jesus. We learned many new songs, Bible stories, and made craft projects and snacks. As part of our service projects, we decorated grocery bags to take home and bring back with food for the food shelves. We made treats for our local firefighters, notes for our family, trail mix for our friends, and thank yous for our VBS volunteers.

We had a wonderful group of volunteers. Thanks go out to Pastor Matthew, Opening & Closing; Bonnie Leraas & Tim Buchite, Bible Stories; Deb Erickson, Diane Puchalski, Steph Nelson, & Jan Vipond, Crafts; Sherri & Jason Wendt, Zach Ketcher, Marlette Janshen, Kim Arroyo, & Chelsey Helget for Snacks; Kode & Kore Seifert , Games; Tina McGrath, Emily Johnson, & Joanna Robinson for Registration; Anya Brantley, Alayna McLaughlin, Kristy Simar, Keaton Long, Kode & Kore Seifert, Group Leaders.
Marlene Dreier did such a great job coordinating and preparing our meals. Thanks so much, Marlene! Thanks to our meal servers: Marlene & Jeff Dreier, Linda Buchite, Sandy & Tom Perry, Nancy Waugh, Carolyn Alke, Marilyn & Doug Frykman, Maureen Volker, Pat Ronhovde, and Jan Vipond. Lastly, to Kaleb and Ian Getz for helping me set up and put away everyday you boys are the greatest!!!

We have great volunteer opportunity coming up in August. On Saturday, August 24th at the Grant Co. DAC in Hoffman, KIDS AGAINST HUNGER will be packing lunches. If you can help for a one or two hour shift, please call. Joyce. If we get enough people, well bring a bus full to help! All ages are welcome to come serve.

We will be putting school-kits together very soon. Nancy, Carolyn and Sharolyn have sewn a lot of school-bags for us to fill. Now is the time to check out those school sales. Contact Ardis Ronhovde or Norma Olson if you have questions.

Luther Crest Campers- Sandy Kashmark has approved list of Peace Campers for Luther Crest. 1st Berheim Scholarship: $250.00 will be presented to Mcke Gisi as a scholarship for college.
