StevenUnfollow Follow Steven Steven Kessler There are many websites discussing basic air ejector theory. Here's just one, for example: http://proditec.cl/images/Teoria_y_Principios_Eyectores.pdf We also discuss it in our CCPP Fundamentals training or whenever we provide training on Water-Steam Cycle equipment. And it only establishes initial vacuum and helps to maintain vacuum during operation. The condensing steam is what is creating the vacuum in the condenser. 29 days ago Unlike Like

If you want to understand further or solve any vacuum problem in your condenser you may contact undersigned. FUTAGOSHIUnfollow Follow FUTAGOSHI FUTAGOSHI PENNETT dear samarendra sir, in my plant 4*135 MW, first unit is modified by installing ejector in addition to vacuum pump. mgt is trying to install ejector in all other units also. so i want to optimise which one is more efficient. for that i need steam consumed by ejector. how can i calculate it. i think you are one of the most appropriate person to whom i can ask this.... every unit is having 2*100% vacuum pump of exhaust air capacity of 8kg/hr.. 28 days ago Unlike Like

JackUnfollow Follow Jack Jack Arnold Gentlemen, Vacuum is established when all or nearly all of the air and other gasses are removed from the condenser. Vacuum is maintained when the steam condenses at the same rate that it is introduced to the condenser. The continuous removal of air and other gasses entrained in the exhaust steam prevents the reduction of surface fouling or insulating by the gasses. Tube cleanliness, inside and out, must be maintained for the steam condensing to be properly controlled. The design of matching the needed heat exchange surfaces with the planned steam volume (and its contained total heat) is a science in itself. The cooling medium must match the medium being cooled such that the desired back pressure is obtained during all phases of load expected. The more superheat (SH) removal required to attain saturation temperature prior to condensation is an operational procedure matching duty of those charged with the start-up, load increase, and full load conditions. The more steam that is extracted prior to exhausting into the condenser, the more efficient the condenser, and unit, will operate. O&M personnel and their supervisors must all understand this concept thoroughly to safely and proficiently control all phases of steam turbine operation. All heat exchangers have curves to properly balance the energy in versus the energy out at all anticipated loads. So, please become more informed before any turbine roll-out is initiated. The condensate should not be sub-cooled more than one or two degrees. To do so increases the loss of sensible heat to the condenser cooling water and thusly to the ultimate heat sink - the atmosphere. Give this some thought and send me your opinions. Thanks. JerryUnfollow Follow Jerry Jerry Clarke First there was a Symphonic Leg Then a Quick Start Air Ejector and then came the MAE ..Main Air Ejector. {normally in groups of 3 } After that they started making Manual Ejector pumps Now what was the question.. A MAE works by condensing Condensate with Bled Steam A MAE has 2 stages and can be thought of as a mini condenser. 22 days ago Unlike Like

RanaUnfollow Follow Rana Rana Muhammad Arif Dear Ejector only cussion to the vacuum instead of creating the vacuum. Actually when creat the 10 C diiference with the help of CW then vacuum is occuring. 22 days ago Unlike Like

NicholasUnfollow Follow Nicholas Nicholas Schroeder The hogging ejector or pump evacuates the condenser and associated system during startup. After startup the vacuum is created by the condensing steam. The role of the operating ejector or pump is to withdraw non-condensable gasses and air inleakage which, if allowed to accumulate, would impair heat transfer and condenser performance. 21 days ago
