Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which

thou

knowest not. We are so thankful for all the promises God has given us from His Word! We are also so thankful for the many Brothers and Sisters in Christ who have called unto the Lord on our Behalf! Thank you so much for your faithfulness in praying for us while we were on our month long survey trip to PNG!!! We saw God work on our hearts in many different ways concerning the people, the culture, and what he has called us to do over in Papua New Guinea, which is Church Planting. We received a big reality check within twenty-four hours of being in PNG. Rebecca had left our camera on her lap as we drove down the rode on our way to Bro. Crowes mission house, which is about two or more hours from the city where we flew into. We had to stop on the side of the road for a minute, and while we were waiting, we started handing tracks to people from the window. Without us realizing it, several men had moved in around the vehicle and started trying to steal things from the truck! One man stuck his hand in our window and took our camera right from Rebecca lap! It happened so fast, that we didn't have time to react before they ran away. As the month progressed, we saw how the Lord used that incident to give us a very good reality check of the good and the bad that dwells in PNG culture. One of the blessings of the trip was the reception of the people to gospel tracts! Everywhere we stopped people would come in crowds to get tracts! On one Friday, we went to a marketplace down the road from where the Crowes house is. We were there for about two hours, and in that time, we passed out over twenty five hundred tracts!! Everywhere we gave out tracts, the people would stop and read the tract! Its a far cry from passing out tracts in America where people either reject the tract or throw it on the ground. The most exciting news of the whole trip is that six people accepted Christ as their Saviour! The people in PNG are very open to the Gospel because tribal fighting has increased greatly due to increased openness of witchcraft. One person in a village will die of natural causes, but due to the sorcery and witchcraft that is so rampant, people in that tribe will accuse people in another tribe of witchcraft and then start fighting with one another. We were able to preach In Three different villages and saw God really move even though they did not understand our language! We had special services at Bro. Crowes house on most Wednesdays and Fridays, and this was also a great blessing as well. On one of those Fridays, God had given me a message from second Timothy 2 on Enduring Hardness as a good soldier. Unbeknownced to me, Bro. Crowe had brought some national preachers back with him from town as he returned from getting supplies. Many of these pastors were out of the ministry because they had quit on the Lord and fallen into sin. It was amazing to see how God used His Word to challenge all of us to endure hardness. Several of these former preachers were very convicted by Gods Word, and spoke of getting back on the front lines of service for the Lord! Please turn over to the other side!:)

Rebecca and I greatly enjoyed working with the Crowe family, and we are very thankful that God has worked things out to allow us to be able to work with them when we get back over to Papua New Guinea for good. God has given Bro. and Mrs. Crowe a definite gift for teaching, and they have used this to train up many national men and ladies to go on for the Lord. Presently, they are finishing up construction of a bible school that has been a vision of Bro. Crowes for many years. Lord willing, they will start their first classes in February of next year. Something else exciting happened while we were in PNG. We found out that Rebecca is expecting our first baby!!! We are both very excited and very thankful that the Lord has entrusted us with this child. We will be back on the road in the first week of July and will be in Pennsylvania, Alabama, Florida, Ohio, and Georgia. we do covet your continued prayers as we travel, and we wanted to share a blessing that goes to show us that prayer really works. We have put seventy-thousand miles on our car in fourteen months of deputation, so we took it into the tire shop to get the front end checked out and to get the tires balanced and rotated. The owner called us up a few hours after we dropped the vehicle off and informed us that the front end was in perfect condition!! He also said that the tires had many more thousands of miles left on them!!! We can only attribute this to your faithful prayers. We know that praying for missionaries might get monotonous as you seem to pray for the same things over and over. But those are the prayers we so desperately need, and we thank you for consistently bringing us before the throne of Grace!!! We do ask you to pray for a few things: We are at 65 percent of our support, and we are very excited about that! But we would ask you to continue praying that God would bring in the rest of our support! Please continue to pray for safety on the roads! Please continue to pray that God would give great power as we preach His Word in every church that we are in! Thank you so much again for you faithful prayers and faithful support!!! May God richly bless you and may we keep on keeping on till Jesus Comes, Yours for the Souls of Papua New Guinea,

Tim and Rebecca Lewis
