Switzerland, St. Gallen - Breitfeld

St. Gallen Breitfeld

Country: Client: Scope: Switzerland Stadtwerke St. Gallen 5 bays 110 kV GIS type 8DN9 15 bays MV, 24 kV NX Plus 2 x 25 MVA transformers

The substation is located in a stadium. It was a big challenge to coordinate the implementation of the substation with the ongoing work on site. Transformer openings are closed with prefabricated concrete slab, which can be removed with reasonable effort.

St. Gallen Schochengasse

Country: Switzerland Client: Stadtwerke St. Gallen Scope: 6 bays 110 kV GIS type 8DN9 2 x 40 MVA power transformers 110/10 kV each 17 bays MV, 10 kV GIS The Substation is integrated in a building complex and installed underground in level-3 and level-4. More than 250 t of materials and equipment had to be craned in to a point 15 m below ground level. In the building above is accommodated a bank and the Switzerland institution for material testing

Switzerland, Winterthur - Wlfingen

110/20 kV Substation Wlflingen

Country: Switzerland Client: Stadtwerke Winterthur The location is between school playground and a motorway about 4m above. The substation is used to equalize the height difference and to detain the noise from the cars. The 2 storey building with cable basement has an even access for transformers. The other side is covered by the rising plot.

Conceptual Solutions 66/11 kV GIS

How to cope with the problem of limited space? Use equipment with reduced space requirements

8DN8-72.5 (66 kV GIS)

In construction and technical design 8DN8-72.5 kV corresponds to switchgear 8DN8-145 kV, but is smaller
