2ND PREPARATORY COURSE FOR FCPS II, MCPS & IMM

(ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY)

October 2013 session

10 days exclusive course comprising of complete discussion topic vise, for theory and viva both.

Past 10 years papers solved according to the CPSP answers key. Orientation and guidance towards time management and solving questions as recommended by CPSP examiners. Knowledge, skill and attitude building. Case scenarios, History taking and Clinical examination, interaction with the patient, making a diagnosis, execution of the treatment plan and presentation to the examiners, all will be taught, discussed and evaluated for each candidate. Written exam at the end of each session daily comprising of 3-5 questions will be given to each candidate and will be evaluated and discussed next day. X-rays, CT-scans, MRI, ultrasounds, biopsy reports and all the relevant investigations will be discussed. Candidates will come to know when to order for specific investigation with justification and how to evaluate it correctly. Practice for short cases, long case and table viva as per CPSP protocol. Mock exam at the end of the course to evaluate the skills and knowledge of the candidate. All candidates are requested to come prepared for discussion. We are planning to teach all the surgical procedures for the better understanding and later on application. Procedures like free flap harvesting, insetting, micro vascular anastomosis, distant flaps and grafts harvesting and insetting. Orthognathic procedures, implant placement surgeries, approach towards fracture reduction and fixation (all incisions and possible variations), surgical exposure of TMJ and layer vise anatomy and actual clinical landmarks used during an operation. Neck dissection and tumor surgeries as we do in real sense. Last date for course registration is 25th august 2013, Candidates are requested to download and submit the filled application referring to course before due date, with cross cheque in favor of Dr. Khurram Latif before the last date i.e. 25-08-13 Fee for the 10 days course is 8,000 PKR. On spot registration will be 10,000 PKR.
