Who we are?
Our Aims
To contribute for formation of a youth which is self-esteemed,
energetic, sensitive to problems surrounding him/her and tries to find
solution to these problems,
With our motto “Think young, create the change!” to encouraging
youth to participate in voluntary activities and civil society, and to help
them to convert their energies to socially beneficial works,
Our Story
e-gençlik Association is a story that was started to be told with only twenty
volunteers in 2003. The number of these storytellers increased as we were
determined not only to tell the story but to live it at the same time. Since that
time we keep going in this way headed with more than a hundred volunteers in
a more powerful way.
In addition, we still keep the excitement and the energy that we had on the first
day.
The wish to hold the land that is commended to us above the level of the
modern civilizations in the way Atatürk wants it and in a suitable form for the
youth made us to come together in a cultural synthesis despite the fact that we
grew up in different cultures, fields, and different conceptions.
While we were pursuing this aim, the projects that we handled were not only for
social improvement but our being a millstone in functioning as a bridge between
the cultures made us feel proud and turned into a source of power for our
future plans. But how did we achieve this? By trusting ourselves…
Actually, we trusted ourselves much. We were sure about what we had done;
we knew that we could increase our capacity with the help of our excitement
and the fire of youth; we recognized the expectations of our country from us;
thus we settled down to work.
The situations that made us successful were not limited with those mentioned
above. The real success is in us, with the help of close friendships even without
recognition. Most of us learned each other’s names while struggling in the same
project; the friendships, started only with a smile, got stronger, and…
In five years time, we are in this situation with the help of love that refuses to
The fire in us has become more powerful now. When we turn back to past and
see what have been done up to date and recall them, we burst with joy. We feel
the proud of recognition of our power inside us and taking part in good works,
and we try to make others feel this emotion. We believe that we will be the
source of light for the next generations. The road that is illumined by us secures
the fact that the comings will not know even what the dark is. By this way, with
the light in their hearts, they will make this road brighter for the next
generations. Consequently, there will be wishes full of hopes and all will come
true. Because e-gençlik Association is the only address where success never
ends.
