“Implementation of

MIS in organization”

Types of systems in organizations:

Open system:

"All social systems, including organizations, consist of the patterned activities

of a number of individuals. Moreover, these patterned activities are
complementary or independent with respect to some common output or
outcome: they are repeated, relatively enduring, and bounded in space and
time."

These are not secure e.g. all the websites accessed through internet.

Closed system

A system having no interaction with an environment. a system whose

Behavior is entirely explainable from within, a system without input. Systems
may be variously closed to matter/ENERGY, to information, and/or to
organization. Systems closed to information are independent, and systems
closed to organization are autonomous.. The output has nothing to do with
whether a system is closed. Systems without output are non-knowable
through observation from the outside

e.g. salaries of the employees.

Stable system

Organizations maintaining equilibrium; self-restoring, consistently reliable,

especially because of resistance to outside pressures e.g. policies of
governments

Dynamic system
Changing state of the organization associated with changes in human wants
and desires such that losses or gains occur. Dynamic changes are not
insurable.

e.g. Moblinlk,PTCL,The packages offered by warid telecom within 2 years.

Permanent system

Not expected to change in status, condition, or place Existing or remaining in the

same state for an indefinitely long time: abiding, continuing, durable, enduring,
lasting, long-lasting, long-lived, long-standing, old, perdurable, perennial,
persistent

.e.g. Punjab University is having a permanent system of enrollment of students

Temporary system

Organizations that serves for a limited time. Lasting or existing only for a short
time.e.g. Courses or lectures delivered in a university.

Simple systems

Organizations that are not involved or complicated; easy: a simple task. A single
component of a complex systems, especially one that is unanalyzable.

e.g. ATM is a very simple system for customers.

Complex systems

Organizations consisting of interconnected or interwoven parts. A usually large

entity composed of interconnected parts

e.g. Property dealers ,National saving centers are having complex systems for
the employees
