eOPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE
Project 58
Your donations helped a WOLC single mom, who is battling health issues, pay a utility bill. It's time for Project Backpack, our annual school supply drive for children in need in our community. Once again, we are sponsoring children at Humboldt Elementary and Robidoux Middle School, as well as children in our own church. This year, our goal is to sponsor 200 kids. Please stop by the table in the foyer to find out how you can help a child in need during this back-to-school season. We are looking for several volunteers with cabinet making skills to do custom work at a St. Joseph church that is still rebuilding after a fire sustained in 2011. Work will begin on Monday evening, August 12. Help will be needed on about 5 evenings over a three week period. Check the foyer table on August 4 and 11 to sign up, for more details, and an expanded work schedule.

Small groups are a great way to make friends and grow in the Christian faith together. New small groups are starting up next month. Check out the foyer table for a list of small group opportunities.

WOLK Classroom Remodel

We would like to thank everyone who gave their time and money to help completely remodel two of our children's classrooms. Thank you for your investment. The Joseph Company will not meet this month. We look forward to seeing you at our next session on Saturday, September 14. On July 15- 20, our elementary aged kids and their adult leaders experienced Camp Dry Gulch. This years theme was WALK BY FAITH. During the chapel services, our children and hundreds of others participated in engaging songs, interactive lessons, and teaching crafted to reach the hearts of kids. There were tons of funfilled games and activities. Thanks to everyone who donated money to help scholarship children to be able to attend camp this year. Everyone had a great time and theyre looking forward to next years Camp Dry Gulch.

Circle of Friends Tour

THIS Thursday, August 15

Everyone is invited to a picnic lunch at Remington Nature Center on Thursday, August 15, at 11:30 AM. Adults are $3, youth $1, and a $2 Senior tour of the Center is planned. The church shuttle leaves at 11 AM to ride together, or you can meet us at the picnic tables at 11:30 AM. Everyone is encouraged to bring your own sandwich and drink. Tour and food costs are a la carte. The Remington Nature Center is located at 1502 McArthur Drive in St. Joseph.

SERVICE TIMES
Sunday Mornings at 9 & 11 Friday Nights at 7 in the MYC Wednesday Prayer & Communion at noon in The Upper Room Communion is served every Sunday. The next Baptism is October 13. The next New Member Sunday is September 15.
