Call for Papers [Special Topic]

Exploring Social Structure, Participation and Knowledge Dissemination within an Online Game Design Community
The special topic calls for papers on Exploring Social Structure, Participation and Knowledge Dissemination within an Online Game Design Community and such papers will appear in the journal Studies in Sociology of Science as a special column. 1

Description
The study explores social ranks, participations and knowledge dissemination within an online game design community. How social ranks have evolved and supported the overall participation over time is described. We doubt whether higher social rank members drive the community in terms of forming effective idea and knowledge sharing. A multi-method analys is technique using content analysis, qualitative interview, and server level quantitative data of users in Sploder.com can be used to draw a concrete conclusion.

Requirements
In addition to the Review and Original Articles by invited speakers, we are inviting you to submit a relevant research paper on Exploring Social Structure, Participation and Knowledge Dissemination within an Online Game Design Community for consideration.
