Step 1: Begin processing Navy oral history abstracts for release to Commission
(part of Set 4). Delivered to Commission 8/1.
Step 2: Schedule meeting of all DoD historians to provide assistance to
Commission staff in prioritizing their research efforts relative to interviews.
Meeting held on 7/31. Historians agreed to prioritize their organization's oral
histories and will provide status updates to USD(I).
Step 3: Draft LOA provided by Commission (Mr. Dunne) to USD(I) regarding handling
of remaining interview materials. Accepted by DoD, 7/29.
