Everyday more people are learning that the Ancient Mayan Calendar enigmatically comes to an 
end on December 21st, 2012 (or October 28th, 2011 according to some experts).  
 
The Maya believed that our world will “cease to exist” as we know it after December 21st, 2012. 
Popular culture has jumped onto the “2012” bandwagon in recent years… primarily focusing on the 
“End of the World” as a massive destructive event.  
 
The History Channel recently aired a documentary for their “Decoding History” series called 
“Doomsday 2012: End of Days”.  
 
In “Doomsday 2012” the History Channel points out many of the dire realities of our times, along 
with correspondences with Mayan prophecy.  
 
The History Channel’s take on 2012 is a very common one, particularly among the “unenlightened”: 
“The World is Coming to an End in 2012… Beware!” (Or, just go ahead and ignore this ridiculous 
prophecy because we all know that the world is not going to come to an end in less than 4 years!)  
 
What you usually don’t hear about is the fact that the Mayans taught that “yes, our current world IS 
going to END on December 21st, 2012, but the opportunity exists for it to be replaced by a FAR 
BETTER WORLD!”

Various Culture Around The World Prophesize The 
Coming Of A Future Golden Age…  
Always Following An “Apocalypse” of Course!  
 
Every major spiritual tradition foretells a future “Golden Age”: Christian, Islamic, Hebrew, Native 
American, Vedic, Taoist, Ancient Greek, Buddhist, etc.  
 
These spiritual traditions all prophesize that a major worldwide catastrophe of Natural and 
Manmade causes will immediately proceed the dawning of a “New World” of Universal Peace and 
Prosperity.  
Additionally, all the spiritual traditions indicate that it is our collective choice whether this 
catastrophe occurs or how serve the catastrophe will be. The purpose of prophecy is to prepare for 
future events… not to fatalistically dictate the future. Prophecy creates the opportunity to change 
the direction we are headed in order to realize something better.  
 
We have the opportunity now to relieve the harshness connected with the radical changes coming 
soon predicted the Mayans and others.  
 
 
 

“The Great Year” 
Philosophy and Astronomical Reality 
 
Many ancient teachings refer to a “grand cycle of time”. 
Plato and the Greeks called this cycle “The Great Year”. 
“The Great Year” is the cause of the rise and fall of human 
civilization. Every ~26,000 years, Planet Earth completes a 
“Great Year” cycle.  
 
Chances are you have heard “We are entering the Age of 
Aquarius”.  
 
What this refers to is one of the most important pieces of 
knowledge handed down to us through Astrology.  
 
Astrology is the science of interpreting the movements of 
the Heavens. Astrology is one of the oldest, if not the oldest science. Through observation of 
Heavenly movements, the ancients came to understand that when certain celestial objects were in 
certain positions particular manifestations in the physical world could be expected.  
 
One of the greatest and most mind‐boggling discoveries that the ancients made through astronomy 
/ astrology is that approximately every 26,000 years the Night Sky makes a complete loop around 
the Zodiac. The ancients associated particular “Ages” with this circuit through the loop of the 
Zodiac.  
 
The Ancient’s related the Earth’s “Age” (position relative to the Zodiac in the 26,000 year cycle) 
with particular levels or types of Global Consciousness.  
 
The Ancients used the Spring Equinox to determine the “Current Age” of the Planet. At dawn on the 
Spring Equinox (or Vernal Equinox) the Sun rises in the constellation of the planet’s current Age… As 
of today we are leaving Pisces and entering Aquarius.  
 
Greek, Hindu, Persian, Egyptian, Chaldean, Hebrew, Christian and Chinese astronomers / 
astrologers all acknowledge and track the passage of The Great Year through the Zodiac. The 
Zodiac itself is recognized worldwide with nearly identical symbolism attributed to the various 
animals.  
 
It takes about 2150 years for the Earth to travel through each “Age of The Great Year”. The 
appearance of Jesus Christ and His Message, signified the start of the Age of Pisces. 2000 years later 
we are on the verge of entering the next age: The Age of Aquarius.  
 
The physical reality of The Great Year is the observable movement of the Night Sky over very long 
periods of time. The astronomical / technical term for this phenomena is “Precession”.  
 
However, the Ancients had a lot more to say about “The Great Year” than the simple astronomical 
reality of it. 
 
The Ancients proclaimed that…  
 

Movement through the Great Year Cycle is 
responsible for the Rise and Fall of Civilization!  
 
A common myth among all Ancient Peoples worldwide is that long ago all of humanity enjoyed life 
in a virtual Paradise.  
 
The Greeks and Vedic (Hindu) cultures called this time “The Golden Age”. Christian / Hebrew / 
Islamic tradition calls this “Eden”. Indigenous cultures speak of the “Golden past of their Ancestors”. 
The myth of a past “perfect way of living” appears to be Universal.  
 
Alongside most of these myths are two additional references: that of “The Fall” at a particular time 
in the past, and that of a coming “Redemption”.  
 
In the traditions that kept the concept of The Great Year most alive, “The Fall” and “The 
Redemption” of Humanity is directly linked with the Great Cycles of Time.  
 
The Ancient Greek and the Hindu/Vedic traditions have left behind the most knowledge of The 
Great Year. Both of these traditions agree in where they place us in time right now… and both tell 
us that we are on the cusp of “turning the corner” and heading back toward a Future Golden Age.  
 
When I think about the Mayan Calendar’s “End Date”… I think about The Great Year. And when I 
put those two together, I understand exactly what the Mayan’s were pointing at with their “End of 
The World”… They were pointing at the transition point from the energetics of one Age to the 
energetics of “The Next Age”.  
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Science’s “Problem” with “The Great Year” 
 
There is a lot more to The Great Year worth looking into. An example is the “scientific problem” 
with “Precession”.  
 
Problem Number One: 
 
No one can account for how the Ancients could have 
calculated The Great Year / Precession cycle ‐ because it is 
sooooooo long!  
 
The ancient people would have had to posses extremely 
sophisticated measurement equipment to directly observe 
Precession – or they would have had to continuously and 
very precisely observe the movement of the stars for 
extremely long periods of time… like several hundred 
years!  
 
Problem Number Two:  
 
The conventional explanation for the observable reality of 
“Precession” is that Planet Earth “wobbles” on It’s axis.  
 
However, there is no scientific theory to explain what causes or originally caused this “wobble”. It is 
an enigma that conventional science has ignored due to lack of a ready explanation.  
 
But, some newly emerging evidence could serve as an explanation for “Precession”… and it is quite 
remarkable.  
 
Our Sun may be one part of a Binary Star system (which over 70% of the stars in the universe are!)… 
and our “sister star” appears to be pulling our Sun and Earth in an unpredicted direction… closer to 
the star Sirius and The Pleiades Star System!  
 
Sirius and The Pleiades were two of the most significant locations in the sky to the Ancients. The 
Great Year might very well be connected with this.

Galactic SuperAlignment of 2012 
 
The Maya knew something very significant about 
December 21st 2012. They knew that on this date 
Our Galactic Center will be in perfect alignment with 
the Rising Sun.  
 
December 21st, 2012 falls on the Winter Solstice. 
The Winter Solstice is the day of the year that in the 
Northern Hemisphere the days stop getting shorter 
and start getting longer again. In terms of physical 
reality, this day could truly be considered “New 
Years Day” because it marks the transition from days 
becoming increasingly shorter to days beginning to 
get longer again.  
 
The extreme significance of December 21st, 2012 is 
that a major “Galactic Alignment” occurs on this day.  
 
Every Winter Solstice is significant because of the physical shift in Earth / Sun alignment that 
happens on this day every year. Adding a major Galactic Alignment to the Winter Solstice, we begin 
to understand the particular significance of December 21st, 2012…  
 
On December 21st, 2012 the Center of Our Galaxy aligns perfectly with 
the Rising Sun of the Winter Solstice (astronomical “New Year”)  
 
The Maya recorded and passed down the knowledge that we live in a Galaxy and that our 
relationship in 3‐D space to Our Galaxy changes over time.  
 
Just as The Great Year maps the movement of the Rising Sun in different Zodiac Constellations, the 
Maya recognized that on the Winter Solstice our relationship to Galactic Center shifts in a similar 
Grand Cycle.  
 
For the last ~13,000 years Planet Earth has been “pointing down” in relationship to Galactic Center. 
On December 21st, 2012 Earth’s alignment will begin to “point up” in relation to Galactic Center… 
and will continue to “point up” for the next ~13,000 years!

prediction of all the major “evolutionary leaps” of Life and the

Calleman’s theory is interesting because it uses the Sacred Tzolkin to indicate major evolutionary 
changes in the past… all the way back to the Big Bang. 
 
Calleman’s theory ultimately suggests that on October 28th, 2011 we will have completed a super‐
cycle of evolution that has been exponentially accelerating since the beginning of Our Universe. 
 
Important Note:  Calleman’s theory identifies the “Evolutionay Quantum Leap 
Date”  as October 28th, 2011 – over 1 year before the well known December 
21st, 2012 date. 
 
Perhaps our evolution is complete on October 28th, 2011 then we have 1 year to “get our act 
together” before our new relationship with “Galactic Center” begins on December 21st, 2012.
