Bishop Georgia Ruth Riley, wife of Deacon Melvin Riley, is the Presiding Prelate of the Deliverance Tabernacle Fellowship of Churches Inc. and the Pastor of the Deliverance Tabernacle Fellowship Cathedral in Hillsborough, NC. She is the proud mother of four children; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Bishop Riley responded to the call of the Lord to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1961. Throughout her youth, she battled with the deadly disease of bronchial asthma and sometimes feared there was no hope of recovery. As a young woman, the Lord positioned her path to cross with Pastor Inez Webb Choates, a phenomenal preacher at a special revival in which Mother Choates was ministering. She was healed that very night! Truly God had upset the devils plan for her life. Mother Choates became the eventual founder of the Deliverance Tabernacle Fellowship Ministry and in 1962 Minister Riley was appointed as the Assistant Pastor. In 1972, she became pastor when the establishmentarian departed this life, leaving a charge for Pastor Riley to FULFILL YE MY JOY. In 1987, the command of the Lord required that she embrace the title as well as serve in the office of Bishop. She was publically confirmed to this office in 1997. Bishop Riley has studied Gods Word extensively; she holds three doctoral degrees along with the prestigious Ecclesiastical Endorsement. God has shown his pleasure in Bishop Riley and extended his grace by calling her A Mother to the Nation a role she has embodied for many years. Though she is qualified and equipped, her desire is to be recognized and respected as a Servant & Friend of the Most High God.
