Business- PLAN competition. How many times have you looked at famous

businessmen, and wondered, Wow!! I wish I were there, in his shoes!? Many times would be our bet! But when we come down to reality we are absolutely

confused! Sometimes we have ideas, vague ones which need a little bit of help! So if you fall into the category of people who have a business idea but not sure how to proceed. Here we invite to come and participate in Udbhav 2k12 organized by Dept Of Management Studies (DMS) of Ballari Institute of Technology &

Management, and feel the change inside you. Its just not only a competition, but an event that will wake up the ENTREPRENEUR, the tycoon; INSIDE YOU!

Who can Participate The event is attracting under graduate students from streams of BBM, B Com, BCA and B Sc colleges in Bellary District. This event intended as a platform to encourage youth to flesh out their business ideas and transform them into reality.

What you have to do: 1. Identify and select business opportunities and prepare plans for their implementation, keeping in mind the following parameters: The Macro & Micro environment of the Industry Market Feasibility - The market potential, demand-supply assessment proposed, marketing strategy and capacity of the project Technical Feasibility - The source of technology, expertise and infrastructure Financial Viability - Estimated cost of the project and means of finance Competitive advantage Competitor Analysis- SWOT or PEST Analysis. Business Operations. Future prospects.

2. Submit a comprehensive report constituting a detailed plan of action to unveil how this business opportunity translates into a profit-making venture. The report must include financial projections for at least 5 years. Important: The Plan will be evaluated on the basis of technical, financial and market feasibility, uniqueness of idea, quality of presentation and report writing.

Some of the suggested areas are:

Agribusiness Clean/Green Energy Eco-Tourism Rural Enterprise Development Financial Inclusion Any other idea which has a social perspective.

Rules:

Udbhav will be held in two stages.

Stage I: Executive Summary & Complete soft copy In Stage I, the participants will be required to submit the complete business plan. A soft copy of the report should be submitted. Based on the complete business plan, entries will be short listed for final stage. The soft copy should be sent to ..@gmail.com The participants should register themselves online from given above email id Final Stage: Face the BOARD, armed with your B-plan in PowerPoint Presentation format The short listed reports will be invited for a final presentation on 11th August 2012. Rules: On the basis of submissions, top six teams would qualify for the final round In the Final round, the team members are required to make PowerPoint presentations in front of eminent judges and panelists Time allotted for each presentation would be 15 minutes followed by a Q&A round of two minutes from the judges Teams are encouraged to bring hard copies of their Business plan.

 A team must consist of maximum 6 members (students only). Multiple entries from an institute are permissible.

A team should have members from the same institute.

No entrant can be part of the event apart from participants and one representative member from one Institute.

The judgment of the panel will be final and binding. Other details: The executive summary should not exceed 4 pages including the cover page. The Executive summary and the report should not reveal the identity of the participant (or Institute) with the exception of the cover page. All soft copies should be in MS-Word Format: 1.5 line spacing, font size: 12, font Type: Times New Roman and 1 inch margin on all sides. Important dates: 6th August 2012 - Last date for receipt of complete Business Plan 8th August 2012 - Announcement of stage I results 9th August 2012 - Last date for Registration for Final stage 11th August 2012 - Final Presentation
