Curtain opens to a Bush scene. Group of Australian animals are DSP. SCENE ONE: Echidna: Hi Wise Wombat. What have you been doing today? Wombat: (yawning) I just got up. I have been sleeping all day. Platypus enters from DSOP and stands at DSOP. Echidna: Hey theres Percy Platypus. He looks so sad. The group walks to DSOP and meets Percy Platypus. Wombat: Hi Percy Platypus. Are you OK? Platypus: Im so sad. Im trying to find out where my home is. Crocodile: Whats all this noise? I know where you live. You have a pouch. You must live in the trees with the koalas. With the rustling sound a koala enters from DSP. Koala: Come here Percy. Ill help you find your home. Koala skips to meet the dancers. The music can begin before she gets there. Koala Dance. SCENE TWO: Group of Australian animals are DSOP. Wombat: Percy you do have a pouch but you dont live in the trees. Platypus: Im confused. I just dont know where I live. Echidna: You can live with me in my burrow. Crocodile: But you dont have spikes you have fur. I know you live out in the open with the kangaroos. Kangaroo enters from DSP to a boing boing noise. Kangaroo will run to meet the dancers. The music can begin before he gets to position. Kangaroo Dance. SCENE THREE: Group of Australian animals are DSOP. Wombat: You do have fur but you dont live with the kangaroos. Platypus: Maybe I dont belong anywhere. Echidna: Dont be silly Percy everyone has a home. Crocodile: No no no. You have a funny mouth you must live with the birds. Birds enter the stage DSP to flying sound effects. Bird One: Dont worry Percy. Bird Two: Come fly with us. Bird dance. SCENE FOUR: Group of Australian animals are DSOP. Wombat: Im sorry Percy you dont have a beak you have a bill. Platypus: I give up! Echidna: Well we tried. Sorry Percy. Crocodile: Hang on a minute you have webbed feet you must live in the sea. Shark enters from DSP to Jaws noise. Shark: Im here to save the day. Percy come swim with me. Shark dance. SCENE FIVE: Group of Australian animals are DSOP. Whilst the following is happening the rest of the students are entering the stage ready for the finale. Platypus: Oh I do like it under the water.
