EGO OUTPUT TIMERS/PARAMETERS

EGO OUTPUT TIMERS/PARAMETERS

Function

With the command EGO you print out the name, value, preset value, and type of timers and parameters. output category;
EGO: [ <output category> | <all> def ];

Parameters Syntax Parameter explanations

output category
The parameter can have the following values: TIM PAR ALL Displays timers. Displays parameters. Displays all timers and parameters.

The default value is all parameters and timers.

Examples

1.

Display all timers and parameters. ZEGO; or ZEGO:ALL;

2.

Display timers. ZEGO:TIM;

Additional information

The command reads the value of the parameter from the BSC Control Parameter File (PAFILE) and displays them on an output device.

Execution printouts The execution printout for example 2 is the following:

EGT MODIFY TIMER

EGT MODIFY TIMER

Function Parameters Syntax

With the command EGT you modify the value of the timer. timer name: time unit, timer value;
EGT: ( <timer name> ) : [ <time unit> | 1 def] , ( <timer value> ) ;

Parameter explanations

timer name
The parameter indicates the timer which is to be modified. The timer names comprises of 1-10 characters. The names of timers are listed in the guidance texts. The parameter is obligatory.

time unit
The parameter, given in a decimal format, indicates which time unit has been used as a value. The parameter can have the following values: 1 2 Value in seconds. Value in 10 milliseconds.

The default value is seconds. For timers T3168 and T3192, the timer unit is either seconds or milliseconds. The values of these timers are decimal values which indicate the timer values from 500 ms to 4 seconds for timer T3168 and from 500 ms to 1.5 seconds for timer T3192 every half second. In these cases, the parameter can have the following values:

13 (18)

EG - GSM Timer and BSC Parameter Handling

1 2

Value in seconds. Value in milliseconds.

The default value is seconds.

timer value
The parameter, given in a decimal format, indicates the new value of the timer. The guidance text shows the name, current value, and value range of the timer in the selected time unit. Parts of seconds can only be given by using the 10 milliseconds time unit. The parameter is obligatory.
Examples

1.

Modify the value of T4 to 10 seconds. ZEGT:T4:,10; or ZEGT:T4:1,10;

2.

Modify the value of T3107 to 3.50 seconds. ZEGT:T3107:2,350;

3.

Output the guide for the timer value of timer T3168 in seconds. ZEGT:T3168:1
/* IDENTIFY VALUE OF TIMER T3168 DECIMAL NUMERAL 0 ... 7 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... 0,5 1,0 1,5 2,0 2,5 3,0 3,5 4,0 s s s s s s s s

PARAMETERS CURRENT VALUE IS 1,0 S PARAMETER IS OBLIGATORY */

Additional information

After completion of semantic checks, the MML writes the value to the PAFILE. If this is carried out successfully, the file is updated to the disks. After updating the file, the file is distributed to other units. If these actions are not successfully carried out, the previous value is applied and rewritten to the file.

EGP MODIFY PARAMETER

EGP MODIFY PARAMETER

Function Parameters Syntax Parameter explanations

With the command EGP you modify the value of the parameter. parameter number: parameter value;
EGP: ( <parameter number> ) : ( <parameter value> ) ;

parameter number
The parameter indicates the parameter which is to be modified. The names of the parameters and the corresponding numbers are displayed on the output device. The parameter is obligatory.

parameter value
The parameter indicates the new value of the parameter. The name of the parameter, its current value, and the range of the value are displayed. The parameter is obligatory.
Examples

1.

Modify the value of the first parameter to 1. ZEGP:1:1;

2.

Modify the value of the sixth parameter to 1. ZEGP:6:1;

Additional information

After completing semantic checks, the MML writes the value to the PAFILE. If this is carried out successfully, the file is updated to the disks. After updating the file, the file is distributed to other units. If these actions are not successfully carried out, the previous value is applied and rewritten to the file.
