After probation period of six months I was promoted to Lab-In-Charge. Lab was equipped with 15
machines, excluding software development lab, which had 6 machines. The responsibility included
maintenance of labs, software and hardware maintenance, and maintenance of all machines. We
were working on Windows NT server. I was also the head of Linux training department. This lab had
7 machines. I was responsible in drafting the syllabus for the same.
I also headed the Research and Development department for Linux. During my tenure as training
department head I successfully completed 3 batches. Total count of all machines was 33 machines,
accounts department, marketing department, 2 classrooms, and director of the company having 1
machine each.

The company has import-export business, importing and exporting chemicals, raw materials etc. At
the time of joining I was designated as Jr. Programmer cum Asst. System Administrator. They had
Novell Netware 3.11 as server with 20 clients. After 1 year I was promoted to Sr. System
Administrator, which gave me rights to upgrade the system, I upgraded the setup to Windows NT
server and Windows NT workstation. My job involved looking after any hardware problems and
getting sorted out and also communicating with Annual Maintenance Contract Company. The job
responsibility also involved constant upgrade of the software according to the needs of the
management. I was leading a team of five programmers.
