General
One of the hardest parts of getting to level 10 and becoming a Ranger is that you start out having to play as an Assassin. You do not obtain any of the Ranger (bow) skills until level 10, after your ascension. The Power Shards add 10 additional damage to each of your hits, and this can be seen as priceless, especially during the questing or killing high level mobs. Break Point The Cities

Once you have hit level 10 and have ascended, you will be in your capital city. There are many things you will want to do while you are here, and many places you will want to visit. It is a very good idea to get to know the area before moving on with your leveling. Not to mention there are many quests you can take part in while you are here! Note : Elyos goes to Sanctum and Asmodians go to Pandaemonium. They do have pretty much the same areas, but they are in different locations and they have different names. Before we move on, let's take a look at the

much a flat out free-for-all PvP zone. When you are inside, you are against anyone that is not in your party or alliance (this means Legion members are also your enemies, unless grouped with you). works

During grinding (for experience or items) you will want to drown out the dullness by Watching a movie while you go into zombie doing something else at the same time. mode seems to help quite a bit. By the time your movie is over you will have already made (hopefully) quite a bit of progress, and it keeps you from being burned out too fast.

But this is also the system's downfall. Once you get to an area with people who do not wish to share their quest items, you will be forced to either compete with them for the quest mobs or you will have to just sit back and allow them to complete their quest first.

make an alternate character and swap between them every once in a while. For on your main, make an alt and play one hour example, when you get to a grind-only area on each and keep swapping off. This will allow you to break from the grind by doing quests (on the alt) and still be progressing on the main. The only real issue with this is that you level slower than normally, but to some it keeps them from playing for 30 minutes and quitting for the day due to boredom. Another alternative choice you can make is to find others who are also on the grinding off who is playing at the time. This does not part you are on, and work out a deal to swap require account sharing. You can group with

like this it is best to take a small break (say for a drink of water, or to use the restroom) while you wait for them to finish their quest. On whatever items you have, you will want to use the same enhancement plan as for levels 20+. You still want to save all of your HP boosting manastones for end-game.

Between a Ranger with HP manastones and one who does not have them, the one with them has a much better chance of winning the battle. Any other manastones you have now you can sell, give to other players, or get rid of, depending on which method you wish to use. You can also use them on alternate characters if you wish. Tricks To Abyss Items

There are a couple of tricks that will make obtaining your Abyss items a lot easier to do. The first one is to always obtain the items as soon as you are able to. The amount of depends on your Abyss Rank. As you causing you to earn more and lose less again! When it comes to obtaining the points, the easiest way is in PvP but only if you are winning more battles than you are losing. If you are losing a lot, you will be earning fewer Abyss Points than you could be. The best way to obtain the Abyss Points needed is by killing mobs in the Abyss. This is best done with one or two others (just in case players from the opposite faction come into your area), however if you are close to your base you will be fine as well. FARMING

The most important thing to consider when going to the Abyss to farm is that you will likely need a group. Since it is an open PvP area, there will be many enemies you will encounter along your way, not including the mobs!

arming really has a couple of different roles when it comes to Aion.

The main role is farming kinah to purchase items. Although this is a little effective, it will not help you at all with your personal goal. Your personal goal should be to rack up as many Abyss Points as you are able to. Although you can buy other items, it is your Abyss gear that will last you until you decide to quit Aion (if you ever do). For that reason, for anything else at this point. If your goal is to obtain kinah the best way is to farm mobs in the Abyss. Here you will find Balaur, which drop various Draconic materials and can easily be sold to other players. Along with this you will obtain Stigma Shards, which are also valuable on the market. it is not recommended that you go farming

Along with this, the best areas are the ones that are the most dangerous. If you really want to rack up the kinah, farm the upper Abyss. Although there is usually a lot of battles in this area, it is well worth the riskto-gain factor.

highly recommended that you bring a kisk with you. Setting it up will greatly speed up the process of returning to your farming spot. At the same time, however, you want to conceal it away from your area a little. The last thing you want is for the enemy faction to find and destroy your kisk!

All three of these are pretty much a necessity when players go into the Abyss (which just so happens to be where all of the end-game is anyways). Because of this, they are generally in high demand.

Collecting is a major way to earn Kinah but it is also one of the most boring (and sometimes frustrating). I find it boring because you are just going to various nodes and are grabbing materials. For example, if you have a choice between Aria and Iron Ore, go for the ore. To add on to this, Aether is valuable as well. Aether has many uses, from crafting items to transforming into other (vitality) materials. Due to this it is highly sought after. But at the same time it is also the hardest to farm. As for my second hot bar, I use the following: 1.Hide 2.Devotion One of the first things you will notice about this setup is that I do not add the chain skills to the bar. At this point there is just one adding this is because you can use the same of them; Soul Slash. The reason for not hot keys as the first skill in the chain in order to use these. For example, in my setup pressing the number key 2 will use Swift Edge and then above it on the screen you will see Soul Slash. Pressing the number 2 again will use Soul Slash! This not only clears your bar up but also allows you to still use the skill.

The best mobs for you to hunt at this point are going to be non-aggressives. There are plenty of these around for grinding on, but if you are questing there will be points where well. So how do you deal with this?

Solo combat is still going to be relying on your kiting abilities, but now you will deal out damage much faster than before and you will have more ways to slow (or stop) your target. The first thing you will need to keep in

(whether on purpose or on accident), only one is attacking the tank. This is not always for. To assist with this we now have a total of 3 snares: Sleep Arrow I, Spike Trap I, and Entangling Shot I. The first one, as we know, sleeps the target. The second will root the target in place. The third will slow the target from running. In a great group, where the tank is pulling only one or two mobs at a time, this is extremely easy to figure out. Generally Sleep Arrow will be enough to get rid of this single additional mob (if there are two total). But what if something happens and there are 3 mobs pulled? In this case, Sleep Arrow will take care of one mob, but you will still have another that needs dealing with. Spike Trap is by far the most effective way to do this, if it aggression of the mob if possible and kite it works. although common in some PvE areas, is that most Abyss mobs can snare you (slow). This makes it even more important to avoid mobs when you are in the middle of a PvP battle because if you do not you are liable to get yourself killed by being slowed. The last difference is that nearly all Abyss mobs are aggressive. Especially to a Ranger this is important to keep in mind because most of your time is spent kiting the mobs around in a back-and-forth motion. Not being careful when doing this will often times pull more mobs than you were planning on taking on.

This is one of the areas where many people mess up in their PvP strategies. They focus on the pets because the pets are the one dealing the damage. In fact, the pet should not even be a target. Instead, you should focus solely couple reasons as to why you want to do this. 1)Spiritmasters have very low defense and no way of healing themselves. This means if you are dealing even a medium amount of damage, they are still going to die pretty fast. 2)Spiritmasters have the ability to heal their pets. This means that even if you take the pet down to 1% health the summoner has the ability to fully heal it again! When it comes to battling against a tank, you will only want to kill them if they are the last target up. Tanks are easy targets for Rangers, as Templars are slow, however there are some exceptions to this rule. 1)First of all, Templars have high defense. Rangers
A very hot topic: What to do when you have to fight other Rangers. Due to the skills (especially the level 50 skills) the Rangers chance than anything (who can hit the have, the battle is going to be more about other with the most criticals). But at the same time, there are a few tricks you can do to help at least try to push the odds in your favor. The first trick, although it might seem like something that does not really fit in this type of battle, is to use Sleep Arrow when your health is getting low (or when theirs is). If this attack succeeds it will put them into a state where you can then take control of the situation. If you are low on health, you can use that time to use potions. If they are, you can use that time to finish the cool-downs of your more powerful attacks so you can prepare to launch another flurry of attacks!

enemy (depending on gear and other factors). This means even if you slow them or root them in place, they are able to attack you anytime you are able to attack them. Stuns are great for combat. Unlike rooting and slowing, stuns will keep your enemy from being able to attack, while still granting you the ability to attack them. Being that you have a couple of skills with the ability to stun, the best plan of action is to use these until stun successfully lands and then resume doing your other non-stun attacks. Once stun wears off, start using stunning attacks again (or sleep them until the cool-downs are over). With any luck, this will keep the enemy Ranger under your control. The Hide skill, although effective against some classes, is not effective against Rangers or Assassins because even with it up they are able to see you. Because of this, it is not even worth wasting the time to use this skill.

A very important thing to remember aside from that is you need to keep a decent amount of distance between them and you. They both have a few skills that have the ability to stun you or knock you unconscious in mid-air, so keeping distance will keep that from happening. In the case of these battles, your roots and

Clerics/Chanters
Clerics and Chanters are, again, quite tough to kill when they are played properly. The two skills that will be more important now than ever before are Sleep Arrow and Silence Arrow. One will sleep the target and heal. To know the best strategy to use against the healers you must first understand how many healers play. It is very rare (at least at this point) to find healers that will keep their the other just keeps them from being able to

benefit in these battles. Neither of the classes is able to view players who are hiding, so you will have the ability to sneak up behind them for some quick surprise attacks. In terms of traps, you will want to use all of the ones we kept on our hot bar. Just choose two random ones because all four of them are very effective when they work.

When it comes to using Hide, it is of great

health at a high level. Many are more worried about dealing damage instead and will then only heal themselves at around half HP (or some will even wait until their HP is lower than that). To us, this is a huge advantage. When attacking the healers it is important

to save the most powerful attacks for the finale. Instead, start going backwards from how we normally battle. Use the weaker ones first. Once their HP is around half (if they are one of the healers that lets it get that low),

use Sleep Arrow. Follow this directly with Silence Arrow and then stuns and unleash a flurry of your attacks like normal (starting with the strongest). With any luck, this will end the battle.

Healers are unable to view cloaked players, which allows you to wait until they them off in (say, if they are attacking a few are in a perfect situation for you to finish mobs at once or are already low health).

This also brings about your primary concern saving your healers! If your healers die, your health and defense are low enough that you will probably die very soon after.
