Magic Eye forms an important division in a group of companies established over 80 years ago which includes Western India Tanneries, Bombay Footwear and Industrial Leather Company. Our office is located in the heart of Bombays business district. Our products are in various types of leather from Cow to Buffalo hide, from Sheep to Goat skin and other derivative variants which we
manufacture in-house for both our domestic and export markets. These products cover a wide range of over 100 different designs for luggage, wallets, portfolios, writing folders, belts, laptop bags.

Our products are for the office, household, personal, travel and not just in leather but also in stainless steel, wood, plastic, brass, zinc, canvas and wrought iron. As part of our social objectives and responsibilities, we often buy products from rural areas, NGOs and institutions which educate and
rehabilitate the physically and mentally challenged.

Due to increasing demand we are constantly adding and upgrading our product range which has been displayed on our website -www.magiceye.co.in We are suppliers to Selfridges, Burton, Filofax, Warehouse in the UK, and to Galleries Lafayette in France, Bijenkorf, Present Time in the Netherlands, to Goldpfeil, Bree, Schneider and Hach in Germany. Our products are now also exported to Sweden, to Switzerland, to USA and Canada, to Singapore and parts of Australasia, to the Gulf
and Middle East like Dubai and Bahrain.

In India we sell to leading corporate houses like Unilever, Sperry Vickers, Colgate Palmolive, Standard Chartered, HSBC, Citibank, Vodafone, Siemens, ICICI, London Pilsner, Indage, Herbertsons, Cipla and the Tata Group of Companies Since most of our products are produced in-house, particularly the items in leather, we have an edge over our competitors in both price and quality as well as delivery schedules. Another important factor which has contributed immensely to our rapidly increasing world wide reputation and the reason why we have
been able to retain our customers by developing a long term business relationship is that we can also design and manufacture items to suit the needs and specific requirements of each organization.

How we work
We can design products to suit your need. We have, in a number of cases, custom designed specific products as per our customers requirements. We can do this for you as well. We will develop the right leather and give you the right colour and the right print. You can select these from a wide range available with us. We offer strictly time bound deliveries: if we say six weeks, we mean six weeks. Our prices are competitive too: we can control costs much better since we produce our own leather in-house. Example of our working : 1) Receive your image or product description with material to be used - Day One 2) Return the quote 24 to 48 hrs.For your price approval. -Day Two Or Three 3) On acceptance of price , Samples within 5 to 10 day on receipt of ART WORK Files. - Day 8 to Day 13 4) Production Delivery 3 weeks -- 8 weeks from Day 1 (for 10,000 Wallets). For Folders 8 to 10 weeks. ( For 5000 Folders).

Types Of Leather

Full grain or Top grain Leather Full grain leather is the leather that is formed just by removing the hair present on the epidermis of the hide. This leather, being in its most natural form, is the most popular type of leather, as it retains all of the original texture and markings of the original hide. Full grain leather is the most expensive and good quality leather. Nappa , Natural Milled , Smooth finish.

Corrected grain Leather Full grain leather, polished to remove blemishes or correct the scratches present on the grain is referred to, as corrected grain. The hides used in the corrected grain leather are of lower quality. Leather is usually pigmented to add durability and hide natural blemishes. Cow Haircell, Printed Milled

Split Leather Split leather is leather made from the remaining part of the hide after the removal of the top grain. Split leather then has an artificial layer applied to the surface of the split and is embossed with a leather grain. This leather is harder and cheaper than the full grain leather. Split leather is comparatively more fragile and gets easily damaged, if not handled properly.

Bonded Leather Bonded Leather is composed of 90% to 100% leather fibers (often scrap from leather tanneries or leather workshops) bonded together with latex binders to create a look and feel similar to that of leather at a fraction of the cost. This bonded leather is not as durable as other leathers, and is recommended for use only in certain products.

Bycast Leather Bycast Leather is a split leather with a layer of Polyurethane applied to the surface and then embossed. The original formula created by Bayer was strong but expensive. Most of the bycast used today is very strong and durable product. The result is a slightly stiffer product that is cheaper than top grain leather but has a much more consistent texture and is easier to clean and maintain.
