RAMAZAN - 1434

Eid and the true servants of Allah

By: Maulana Ilyas Patel Sahib

We have learnt the lesson of Taqwa. We have learnt that lesson which the fasting was meant to teach us. Allah Ta'ala is watching! Yes, Allah Ta'ala is Watching! Every time there was an urge to eat or drink while fasting, the voice from within was crying out: "Allah Ta'ala is watching!" Dozens of times daily for an entire month this reality was reaffirmed. Allah Ta'ala is watching. So deeply is it embedded in the heart that by the time Ramazanul-Mubarak is over, a person becomes conscious of Allah Ta'ala to such an extent that he is now guided by an inner force that propels him in the direction of righteousness and turns him away from sin.

Taqwa
The fasts of Ramazanul-Mubarak were prescribed for the purpose and object of attaining Taqwa. This is clearly declared in the Qur'an-alKareem. Taqwa simply is to obey the commands of Allah Ta'ala and refrain from all sins. The increased rewards for lbaadah (worship) in Ramazanul-Mubarak and all the blessings of this great month should be considered as the bonus. The object is Taqwa. If one performs an abundance of Salaah, completes the recitation of the Holy Qur'an thirty times and engages in

4 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

many other acts of lbaadah, but fails to give up sins one has failed to achieve the object and purpose of Ramazanul-Mubarak. One has failed to firmly embed the reality of Taqwa in the heart, the Taqwa that cries out "Allah Is watching" whenever one contemplates committing any transgression.

Purdah
Likewise, when the laws of purdah are violated, does the heart cry out "Allah is watching"? Or when one intends to watch something on TV, which will most definitely involve one in zina of the eyes and ears, does one hear the voice from within: "Allah is watching," as a result of which one refrains from that sin? The same pertains to the Sharee aspects of appearance and clothing. How often have we done things to appease and please even the enemies of Allah Ta'ala and Hazrat Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)? How often have we abandoned the dictates of Taqwa in order to earn a few coppers? Now is the time to sincerely repent. It is the time to say "Allah is watching" and to do everything to please Him. It is a time to acquire Taqwa.

Night Before Eid

Hazrat Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) has said; The night of Eidul-Fitr, the night that is called Laylatul-Jaaizah (The night of prize giving), comes along. On the morning of Eid, Allah Taala sends down the angels: Malaaikah, to all the lands of the earth, where they stand at the entrance of roads, calling out with a voice that is heard by all except man and jinn: O Ummah of Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam), come out of your houses towards a Lord that is noble and gracious, who grants much and pardons the big sins.

5 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

When they go towards the places for their Eid Salaah, Allah Taala says to the Malaaikah: What is the reward of that worker who has completed his work? The Malaaikah reply: O Lord and master, it is only right that he should receive his reward in full. Allah Taala then says: I call you to witness, O My Malaaikah, that for their having fasted during the month of Ramazan, and for their having stood before Me in prayer by night, I have granted to them as reward My pleasure and have granted them forgiveness. O My servants ask now of Me, for I swear by My honour and My greatness, that whatsoever you shall beg of Me this day in this gathering of yours for the needs of the Hereafter, I shall grant you, and whatsoever you shall ask for your worldly needs, I shall grant it. I swear by My honour that, as long as you shall obey My commands, I shall cover up your faults. By My Honour and My Greatness do I swear that I shall never disgrace you together with the sinful people and disbelievers. Go now from here, you are forgiven. You have pleased Me and I am pleased with you. The Malaaikah on seeing this great reward given by Allah Taala upon the Ummah of Hazrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) on the day of Eidul-Fitr become greatly pleased and happy. TAFSEER
(Commentary of the Holy Quran)
By: Maulana Mufti Muhammad Shafi Sahib (Rahmatullahi Alaihi)

SURAH AL-BAQARAH
Note: This part of Tafseer is the remaining portion of Surah AlBaqarah Tafseer and hence connected with the previous chapter of Surah Al-Baqarah Tafseer.

Having received the Torah from Allah Taala, Sayyidina Musa ( Alaihis Salam) returned from Mount Tur (Sinai) and recited it to the Israelites. The injunctions contained in the Book were rather rigorous, but their conduct and habits of mind really called for such strict discipline. To begin with, they replied that they would not obey the injunctions until and unless Allah Taala Himself told them that it was His book. Seventy men, as we have related above, were selected to go to Mount Tur and to hear Allah and attest the authenticity of the Torah. On their return, they bore witness to the Torah being a Book of Allah Taala, but added turn something on their own to what Allah Taala had actually said. For, they told the Israelites that Allah

7 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

had allowed them to act upon the injunctions only as much as they could, and had promised to forgive them for what they could not accomplish. They had always and instinctively been prone to rebellion against Allah Taala, then, the injunctions were, no doubt, stern, and now they got a new pretext for being negligent. So, the Israelites flatly refused to obey the injunctions, insisting that it was beyond their endurance to act upon such harsh regulations. In reply to this insolence, Allah Taala commanded the angels to raise Mount Tur and let it hang in the air above their heads as a threat that if they did not fulfill their covenant with Allah Taala, it would fall on them and crush them. The Israelites, then, had no choice but to submit. A doubt is quite likely to arise here. The Holy Quran says in another place that force should not be used to make a man change his religion, while in the present instance it appears that force is being used. But, in fact, force is not being used to make the Israelites change their religion, for they had already accepted Sayyidina Musa ( Alahis Salam) as a prophet of Allah Taala, and willing made a covenant with Allah Taala that they would act upon the Book of Allah Taala, if one was given to them.

Tas-heelul Ahadeeth Translation:

It is narrated from Sayyidina Abu Umaamah (Raziyallahu anhu) that the Sahabah (Raziyallahu anhum) one day discussed the world in Hazrat Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallams) presence. Thus he [Hazrat Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam] said: Do you not hear? Do you not hear? Simplicity is the part of Imaan! Simplicity is the part of Imaan! (Abu Dawood )

Commentary:
It is related in a well known Hadeeth that Imaan comprises of more than 60 or 70 branches ( Bukhari).

9 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

We understand from the above Hadeeth that simplicity is also one of the more than 60 or 70 branches of Imaan. Simplicity is the translation of the word al-bazazah. Many Muhadditheen (scholars of Hadeeth) say that al-Bazazah refers specifically to simplicity in dressing. It is mentioned in another Hadeeth that Allah Taala is beautiful and loves beauty. In view of this Hadeeth, the Ulama conclude that it is permissible to wear good (or expensive) clothes provided: It is within ones means (i.e. he can afford it). Ones intention is not to show-off and boast of ones expensive clothes (this is pride and hence Haraam). One does not look down at those who cannot afford such expensive clothes arrogance and also Haraam). One is not extravagant. In addition to the above, we must also remember that as the Holy Quran mentions the best clothes are the clothes of Taqwa, we must always ensure that we dress according to the injunctions of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Hazrat Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallams ). Seerat-e-Paak Nabi s Love for Children

By: Maulana Abu Talhah Muhammad Izharul Hasan Mahmood Sahib
Translated By: Mufti Afzal Husain Elias Sahib

LOVE SHOWN TOWARDS CHILDREN IN GENERAL

Hazrat Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) encouraged keeping the name Muhammad

Hazrat Jaabir (Raziyallahu anhu) says that a child was born to one of the Sahabah and he named the child Muhammad. When the people learnt of this, they objected to it saying that how could he name his child after Hazrat Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). They said that they would not leave him until they take him to Hazrat Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and resolve the matter by asking Hazrat Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) if it was alright to name a child after him. This person came to Hazrat Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) carrying his child and asked, I have been blessed with a son whom I have named Muhammad and these people have an objection to this. Hazrat Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) clarified the matter by saying, You may name your

11 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

children after my name, but you may not adopt my title (Abul Qasim) as I am Qasim, the one who distributes the wealth between you. (Muslim Shareef). Many more traditions have been narrated by Hazrat Jaabir Raziyallahu Anhu under this chapter showing that Hazrat Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) had clearly permitted the keeping of his name. The scholars of Ahadeeth have mentioned that this name is a very blessed name and any person who has this name turns out to be one of great qualities and goodness. This is why we find the name Muhammad and Ahmad very often in the books of Ahadeeth and the books which mention the names of the chain of narrators.
Blessings in this world and the hereafter by virtue of the name Muhammad

Hazrat Shah Waliullah Muhaddith Dehlawi (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) writes in the famous book of history, Madaarijun-Nubuwwah: Keeping the blessed name of Hazrat Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) is a source of blessing and benefit and a means of protection both in this world and the Hereafter. It is narrated in the Ahadeeth that any home wherein there resides a person by the name of Muhammad will be blessed. It has also been narrated that any group that assembles to consult one another on any matter, and

12 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

amongst them is a person by the name of Muhammad, Allah Taala will most certainly bless them in their endeavour. (To be concluded, Insha Allah)

Hazrat Dawood Alaihis-Salaam Hazrat Dawood Alaihis-Salaam was one of the Allah Taalas prophets. He was blessed with prophet hood and kingship in his youth. How did he achieve

15 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

all this? Allah Taala had blessed him with great Ilm and unique skill making chains from rings of iron. Allah Taala says in the Holy Quran:

We taught him the skills of making armor as dress for you.
[Al-Ambiya 21:80; only relevant portion of the Aayah is documented].

Subhan Allah! He gained honour through his ability to make chains from iron, and was able to rule.

Iron would become soft and malleable in his hands.

Hazrat Sulayman Alaihis-salaam Hazrat Sulayman Alaihis-Salaam, the son of Hazrat Dawood Alaihis-Salaam, was gained victory over queen Bilqees by Allah Taala. He thus attained honour and victory, and queen Bilqees accepted Islam. What was the reason for this? His Ilm!

O people we have been taught the speech of birds
[Al-Naml 27:16; only relevant portion of the Aayah is documented].

He had a conversation with the bird, Hud Hud, saying, Where did you disappear?

16 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

Rather he has disappeared.
[Al-Naml 27:19; only relevant portion of the Aayah is documented].

Hud Hud said, I have brought news for you, and told him about Queen Bilqees. This is where the events unfolded, leading to the victory over her. In the end, Allah Taala blessed her with Islam. Therefore, it shows that the honour and the high esteem that Hazrat Sulayman Alaihis-Salaam achieved were due to the Ilm bestowed upon him by Allah Taala. Subhan Allah! Hazrat Yoosuf Alaihis-Salaam Allah Taala bestowed Hazrat Yoosuf AlaihisSalaam with great honour. There was a time when he was sold in a market in Egypt. He was then taken as a slave in a palace. How did things change for the better? Allah Taala says in the Holy Quran:

And when he reached the prime of his age, We gave him wisdom and knowledge, and this is how We reward those who are good in their deeds. (Surah Yoosuf 12:22)

He gained success after staying in prison for many years. Finally, he was released, and was later

seated on the throne of Egypt. The reason for all this honour was his Ilm. Allah Taala had blessed him with the knowledge of dream interpretation. His companion in prison (after attaining freedom), told the king that he knew a person who could interpret dreams correctly. The king sent for him:

Today you are with us well-placed, fully trusted.
[Al-Yusuf 12:54; only relevant portion of the Aayah is documented].

The curse of anger

Anger is an emotional disorder and is shameful. However, in some instances anger may be a good thing. For instance, an angry person may be one who is shielded from evil, protects religious

18 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

beliefs, defends his honour and character, and can defend the homeland. A person once requested the Noble Rasul (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), to waive a judgment passed on a person. Our beloved Rasul (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) was angered. He said, People in bygone eras were destroyed because they subjected their poor and weak to punishment when they deserved it, but let off their honourable people when they were involved in crime. He never sought revenge when he was personally wronged, but, when an injunction of Allah Taala was violated, there was none more angrier than he was (Tabraani). The noble Rasul (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) has commanded one to check ones anger. One who does this will be compensated on the day of Qiyamah by being allowed to Huur (beautiful damsel of Jannah) of ones choice (Bukhari). One who cools and controls his anger is regarded as a wrestler (strong person) Bukharii and Muslim. The Noble Quran has commanded this (Surah Fussilat 41:34). One who always tries to control his anger is considered a pious bondman of Allah Taala (Surah Furqan 25:63) and such people are praised (Surah Aali Imraan 3:134; Surah Shuraa 42:37). A short tempered child must be weaned away from his habit by removing the causes. If the problem

19 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

is hunger, food must be provided on time. If the child is unwell, proper medication must be given. Sometimes a child is short tempered because it is often reproached unnecessarily. If the childs parents are easily angered, it is they who should change their temperament. If the youngster is spoilt because of pampering, parents must desist from pampering the child. If the cause of short temper is due to the child often been ridiculed or given an insulting nickname, the cause must be removed. The Quran Kareem does not approve of making jokes about others, casting doubts or spying on them, and calling others by insulting names (Surah Hujuraat 49:11)

Imam Sahibs distinctive and exclusive features

An incident

Shuroot from the people of Kufa. I added: It is most appropriate for the Ulama to justifiably say that the foundation for this science was laid by Hazrat Imam Abu Hanifah (Rahmatullahi alaihi ). However, you people have made a few changes to it and presented it in a more rhetorical manner. Okay, tell me! Are you able to present and shuroot of either the Kufis or the Basris prior to Imam Sahib? He remained silent and after some time he declared: It is better to accept the truth instead of arguing over falsehood. That Imam who bears mountains of Ilm in his bosom, the mountains of this earth are nothing before his mountains.

Eighth distinguished feature

Imam Sahibs Mazhab (school of thought) gained popularity in areas where there was other Mazhab like India, Sindh, Rome, Transoxiana, and most of the non-Arab countries.

Ninth distinguished feature

Imam Sahib used to eat of his own personal earnings and spend upon the people of Ilm (Students and Ulama). He never accepted the gifts

Tenth distinguished feature

He passed away as oppressed, imprisoned and poisoned man in a state of Sajdah as will be explained in the forth coming chapter.

Eleventh distinguished feature

His excessive Ibadat (devotions), abstention from the world, excessive recitation of the Holy Quran and the numerous occasions he performed Hajj, Umrah etc. (all render him superior to the others).

The intelligent farmer

You all know what a farmer is. You know that Allah Taala gives us our food such as rice, wheat,

23 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

grains, apples, mangoes and other things from the ground. Now the person who digs the ground, places the seed inside and then works on the ground is called a farmer. The farmer in this story is Ahmad. He had three sons and they were a very happy family. The only thing that made Ahmad sad was that his sons were very lazy and none of them would help him with his work. Eventually, he thought of a plan to get them to work. He gathered his sons one day and said to them, Sons! We have a treasure buried in our fields and I am too old to dig it up all by myself. The sons were most eager to help and they were soon digging up the fields. However, despite all their efforts, they had not found any treasure. They were soon very angry to know that their father had tricked them. When they complained to their father about what he had done, he said, How could I do such a terrible thing such a lying? A Muslim never lies. I did not lie about the treasure. You are being too hasty and haste is from shaytaan. Now take

these seeds and place them in the ground. When the boys did as told, Ahmad said, Let us all make Wuzu (ablution) and then make dua to Allah Taala to send rains. Again the boys did as told and their dua was accepted by Allah Taala. Soon the rains started to fall and it was only a few days later that the seeds started to sprout. Look, said Ahmad to his sons, This is the treasure I was telling you about. When a man makes an effort, he will see the fruits of his efforts.

Paying heed while observing Eid
Dear Editor :

It is crucial that all Muslim men and women, especially Muslim youth should observe Eidul-Fitr

25 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

while adhering to the same standard of Taqwa which they have attained during the blessed month of Ramazan. It will be a great loss for such persons of the Muslim community who will observe the annual festival of Eidul-Fitr just like non-Muslims are observing their festivals by bursting fire crackers, coming out in skimpy and see-through dresses, becoming very extravagant with money, indulging in music and photography, and intermingling with opposite gender in parks and gardens. It is foolhardy to destroy ones great rewards and Noor he or she has attained in Ramazanul-Mubarak in a single day enjoyment on the pretext of observing Eid. A true Muslim observes Eid while paying heed to such an extent that any injunction of Islamic Shariah may not be violated.

Academic output of year 1433-34 in brief

By the grace of Allah Almighty, Darul-Uloom Raheemiyyah Bandipora has completed its 35th academic year in Shabaan 1434 AH. This educational institution, that is, Darul-Uloom Raheemiyyah Bandipora, was established in 1399 AH corresponding to 1979. And from the day of its inception, Darul-Uloom Raheemiyyah, by the grace of Allah Taala, witnessed its every new academic year more successful and encouraging than its previous year, and hence this institution has been consistently maintaining excellent results. All praise belongs to Allah on this achievement.

The Holy Quran Department:

It is comprised of Naazirah, Hifz, Tajweed and Arabic classes. This department has high standing as it forms the backbone of the institution. This year, 366 students were admitted to Naazirah class, whereas 136 students were admitted to Hifz class. And 35 students gained admission to Tajweed & Qirat class, whereas 253 students to the Arabic classes. In this way, a total number of around 625 students were admitted to this institution. Among them, around 475 students enjoyed free board and lodging at this institution. These students sat in the examinations at

27 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

the end of the year and maximum of them passed with flying colours. This year, the number of Makaatib (part-time Islamic institutes run by Darul-Uloom Raheemiyyah Bandipora at different places of the J&K state) remained nearly 300. At these Makaatib, 10,000 plus Muslim children learnt the reading of the Holy Quran, supplications, the basics of Islam, memorized Surahs and Islamic ethics besides. Faiz-e-Aam: a secondary school of Raheemiyyah for imparting contemporary education, was upgraded by improving its educational standard and further developing its infrastructure, with the result that enrolled children of the Muslim community at Faiz-e-Aam are proceeding forward in contemporary education while learning the Hoy Quran and the basics of Islam in an Islamic environment. The enrolment at Faiz-e-Aam school, during the current academic session, is 212 boys in the male section and 265 girls in the female section. The department of Darul-Ifta-wal-Irshaad issued 375 Fataawa: Decrees and the department of DarulQaza-wattahkeem settled nearly 250 disputes during the current year. The faculty members of Darul-Uloom Raheemiyyah availed themselves of the studying facility of 900 plus books from the library while the

28 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

Raheemi students utilized the same facility by reading 1500 plus books. This year, 289 books were added to the library and in this way the number of books, including the libraries of Urdu and Arabic Anjuman, is touching 30,000. The publication of the monthly AN-NOOR in Urdu and in English remained on throughout the year. Its readership, which is 6000 plus at present, is increasing day-by-day. This year the number of such books which were reprinted was increased while two new books were also printed. And in this way the total number of publications reached 85. A staff of nearly 80 persons has been engaged for doing the aforementioned jobs at this institution. The expenditure is being paid from the donation by the common people of the Muslims community. However, this institution gets into debt at the end of the year, and this year the Madrasah remained in debt of many lacs. Besides undertaking the academic and the administrative work, Darul-Uloom Raheemiyyah is also providing extramural services to the Muslim community. In this connection, a trust namely Siddeeq-e-Akbar Trust, has been established under which an institute, namely Idaarah Falaah Islami, has been set up in Srinagar. This gigantic task became easy to undertake for the Raheemi administration after a well-off person donated a piece of land

29 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

measuring 8 Kanals. On the said donated land, the office of this institute, a Masjid-Sharief, rooms for guests and some more rooms are under construction. An orphanage, namely Al-Mahmood Childrens Home, has been also set up there. There are 50 needy orphans who are learning and memorizing the noble Quran at the said institute. Besides learning the Holy Quran, the same orphans are also achieving contemporary education at government and private schools. This institute is bearing all their expenses viz. educational, nutritional and residential. The staff of this institute also runs two Makaatib for local boys and girls at Al-Mahmood. Moreover, this institute is providing financial support to some needy widows and orphans regularly. And the expenses of nearly five marriages (Nikah) were also arranged by this institute. Through the departments of Tahaffuz-eEimaan, Khatm-e-Nabuwwat and Tahaffuz-e-Shariat, the demands of Deen were attempted to meet by written and oral sources on different occasions. In this connection, a small group, namely Anjuman Khuddaamul-Islam, is endeavouring to persuade such youth who are infected with the machinations of Christian missionaries to return to Islam and rehabilitating them besides. By the grace of Allah Almighty, this small group of men is doing this reformative work diligently within their capabilities.

30 JULY 2013

RAMAZAN - 1434

And by dint of this endeavour, a good number of betrayed persons have come back into the fold of Islam so far. May Allah Almighty make this endeavour successful and a source of annihilation for Irtidaad, Aameen. A joint campaign against conversions by Christian missionaries under the aegis of Majlis-eTahaffuz-e-Eimaan with the dignitaries of other schools of thought remained very active throughout the year. And the dignitaries of different schools of thought took due care of this alarming situation, and hence they remained in touch while supporting the efforts and consulting about the situation with the elders of the committee. The department of Dawah & Tabligh also remained active throughout the academic session and was setting out Jamaaat of the Raheemi students for 24hours every week. Such esteemed faculty members of Darul-Uloom Raheemiyyah who returned after spending one year in the work of Dawah & Tabligh last year and the students who completed their forty days: Chilla during the vacations of RamazanulMubarak, both the parties took care and set out Jamaaats of Raheemi students for one year and forty days on 18 Shabaan 1434 AH immediately after the students completed their annual examinations. Moreover, for advise-giving and propagating Seerat and the basics of Islam, many programmes: Seerati-

Jalsah were organized at different places in many areas in which the scholars and the students of Raheemiyyah conveyed the injunctions of Deen to the common people. The construction of a central library, that was an essential matter, has been started at the Raheemiyyah campus. This is a huge project. May Allah Almighty make its completion easy for us. There is a desperate need of one more hostel building, a dining hall and a spacious kitchen at the Raheemiyyah campus. In the same way, a big chunk of land and a big building for Faiz-e-Aam school and a suitable building for girls school, namely Madrasah Islaahul-Banaat, are also much needed constructions here. The esteemed readers are requested for Duaa. The work of constructing Masaajid is also going on. In this connection, there are ten Masaajid which remained under construction during the current year and three of them reached to their completion. Interested persons can donate for the construction of these Masaajid. The construction of some Makaatib is also going on at different places. Taking part in such kind of work is same as propagating the teachings of the Holy Quran in these needy areas of the Muslim community. The children, who are learning at such Makaatib, are being provided the copies of the noble Quran and other Islamic books free of cost. The

enrolment at such Makaatib remains around 10,000 and a huge amount is incurring on fulfilling the needs of these children, so the persons who like to assist in this section of work financially are most welcome. Darul-Uloom Raheemiyyah Bandipora expresses profound gratitude to all such persons whose assistance, supplications, donations, consultations and sincere efforts facilitated different kinds of work of this institution. May Allah Taala approve their efforts, assistance, contributions, donation with His pleasure and make all their presented things to this institution SadaqahJaariyyah for them. Aameen.

Your name at Rauzah-Mubarak

Imagine the following: You are mentioned daily in the presence of the president of the country. He is informed that you have sent a gift for him. How happy will he get? How honoured will you feel, that you are mentioned daily in the gathering of the president! Stop imagining. You can have your name mentioned in the presence of the personality who is greater than all the presidents and kings of this world. Have your name mentioned in the presence of Hazrat Rasoolullah (Sallallahu-Alaihi Wasallam) as often as you wish. It is reported by Ibn Masood (Raziyallahu Anhu) that Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: Allah has angels who travel around the earth and convey to me the salutations of my Ummah. It is also further reported that

when conveying the salutations, the angel says: O Muhammad, so- and-so, the son of so-and-so has recited Durood upon you. What a tremendous honour! What happiness this would bring to the heart of Hazrat Rasoolullah ( Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). What tremendous blessings would pour down upon the one who sends the Durood! Indeed, the one who sends the Durood does the greatest favour to himself, Hazrat Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) is reported to have said: The one who recites one Durood upon me, Allah Taala showers ten blessings upon him. (Sahih Muslim). In another narration it is reported that Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: The one who recites one Durood upon me with a sincere heart, Allah Taala will grant him ten blessings, will raise him ten ranks in higher in Jannah, record for him ten good deeds and wipe out ten of his sins. (Nasaai). Therefore, we should daily recite Durood in abundance, receive numerous blessings and have our name mentioned by the angels to none other than Hazrat Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). It is pertinent to mention here that we have been advised by Hazrat Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) to name a good name. And if our name is un-Islamic, will not it cause a kind of trouble to the blessed heart of Hazrat Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) when our name will be mentioned before him by the angel who will convey our Durood there. Hence we should check our name, if found it un-Islamic, it should be changed immediately.
