Health and Dental Education Activities have direct impact on the

Typography which reacts to sound

Letters made of illustrations which respond to sound. The words change size and appearance based on the volume of the sound input. The louder it is the bigger the letters. Built in Processing, the application is sensitive to voices, music and ambient noises

Demo video: https://vimeo.com/64978437

The possible outcomes are endless since any svg files can be attached to any font and then programmed to change size. When the illustrations become bigger they overlap and create very interesting patterns

Photo manipulation using 3d software

This photo has been shattered into pieces in Cinema 4D Studio. It is one of many attempts to use techniques different than Photoshop to create original graphics work. One of the most challenging things was to add lights to the scene and make it look as if the woman is 3D as well

2D image tweaked in Cinema 4D Studio. The shapes covering her face and body were modelled on top going in and out of the image. This allowed for shadows to appear after adding lights to the scene which created a more realistic effect

Sci-fi inspired garments

3D dresses designed for a personal project inspired by my love for sci-fi movies and books. Science fiction can go beyond the boundaries of genre and portrays a new version of the world, which leads to limitless ideas and design outcomes

This is an ongoing project with more designs coming up. The dressed are modelled in Cinema 4D Studio and edited in Photoshop. The project was more particularly influenced by Star Wars, Blade Runner, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Tron: Legacy.

WEB DESIGN : student showcase

A collaboration with students to create a website which showcases UCA students graduate work. The website reflects the overall identity of the Graphic Design New Media course. The preparations for the show also included printed publications and interactive installations

www.open.gdnm.org

The student directory of the web site Each dot represents an area of design (such as motion graphics, creative coding, editorial design, etc). The students had to chose the areas they specialized in and then the corresponding dots were connected for each student

Promoting GDNM Poster design

A poster for UCAs GDNM graduate show. It is open to interpretation but the goal was to metaphorically represent students creative, colourful and crazy ideas as well as our university experience which was like being at a playground, having fun and exploring

Web design & development

A collaboration with a fashion journalism student who wanted a website to complement her magazine about Alexander McQueen. The website was then part of her final major project at university

IMAGe PROCESSING WITH CODE

Using Processing, an open source programming language, the images are manipulated so that certain shapes are assigned to groups of pixels. The result are unique textures which cannot be recreated in Photoshop

import processing.pdf.*; boolean savePDF = false; PImage img; int drawMode = 1; void setup() { size(600, 762); smooth(); img = loadImage(flowers.jpg); println(img.width+ x +img.height);

} void draw() { if (savePDF) beginRecord(PDF, timestamp()+.pdf); background(255); strokeWeight(0.2); ...

case 7: stroke(c); float w7 = map(greyscale, 0,255, 5,0.1); strokeWeight(w7); fill(255,255*mouseYFactor); pushMatrix(); translate(posX, posY); rotate(greyscale/255.0 *HALF_PI* mouseXFactor); triangle(150, 50, 170, 80, 130, 80); popMatrix(); break;height; float posX = tileWidth*gridX;

This is an image of tulips. However, many circles are assigned to groups of pixels and overlap each other. Manipulating images in this way can be very unpredictable and by changing the density of the circles or their size yields very different results

Colour compositions research project

These compositions were part of a project about colour, its properties, the perception of light with multiple wavelengths and how the sensory process in humans works. It was a very scientific based research delving into various colour studies

Colour psychology was also part of the research since each colour signifies different things across all cultures. This is important in advertising where people from different countries might not convey the message in exactly the same way

Generative art typography

Life is a complex biological and social network. I tried to communicate that through typography by using a drawing tool in Processing. Moving the mouse created dots linked with each other by thousands of lines. The results was then edited in Photoshop

Business cards

A new logo and business cards for Balkan Internet Exchange. The company offers services to a multitude of businesses in the telecommunications sector

D&AD BRIEF: THE FUEL PET
