Remember, each week your Original thread needs to be a unique topic and not like other original threads already posted. If you are posting be sure to read what other students and instructor have written and do not duplicate their work. I will be looking closely at your Original threads each week, if any part of your thread is similar to another thread posted earlier, your thread will be graded as a COMMENT and will not receive any points as an ORIGINAL thread. Please look at your discussion. If your topic is similar, you will need to post a NEW thread to receive original thread points. If you have used a topic in a previous forum, you cannot use it again. For example, if you discuss "proxemics" during week 5, you cannot use "proxemics" as a topic during week 9. 2. THREE substantive COMMENTS/REPLYS to other original threads; posted on different days, these three comments need to be a minimum of 100 words each. (3 + 3 + 3 = 9 POINTS) 1. ____ posted By Sunday at Midnight 2. ____ at least three substantive comments need to be posted on three different days (if all 3 comments are posted on the same day, you will receive 3 pts for your 1st comment, 2 pt for your second comment and no points for your third comment). One comment can be posted on the same day as your Original Thread. 3. ____ is at least 100 words (-1point if less than 100 words) 4. ____ punctuation, spelling and grammar are correct (-1 point for every two errors) 5. ____ comments are REPLYS to other threads. You receive points for the comments or replys you make to other original threads.... not the thread you originally posted. Your comments may be to other students or the instructor's discussion threads. 3. Any discussion thread or comment not properly cited per the SafeAssign tool will receive a grade of 0 points for that post. Please see Blackboard SafeAssign and Plagiarism Policy section in the Syllabus. Be sure to place quoted material in quotation marks (any quotation more than 3 words). Direct quotes do not count toward your minimum word count. NOTE: You are not allowed to edit your post once it is submitted. However, if you forget one or more criteria in this checklist, just go back into your post and click on REPLY and add any additional information. I will be able to see your additional information when I grade Discussion each week. I will be providing feedback (WK01-WK03) to students who did not receive the full 10 points for their discussion assignment. I will provide some ways to improve your score. You can read my comments in the Grade Book.
