VERN’ is financed strictly from tuition fees.

2. Is your institution a for-profit or non-profit institution?

VERN’ is a non-profit institution.

3. How much does tuition per academic year cost at your institution? (eg. 500 –
1000 EUR)

Undergraduate studies (3 years) – cca 4500 EUR per year

Graduate studies (2 years) – cca 6000 EUR per year

MBA program (one semester) – cca 3500

4. Do you receive any subsidies from the state? Do students from your
institutions receive scholarships or grants for studying from the Government?

VERN’ does not receive any subsidies from the state, but our student
can apply for scholarships and/or grants from the Government.

5. Who is responsible for the ensuring quality or quality control in your


institution?

VERN’ has so-called VERNQUAL – The Quality Policy (which can be


seen/read at www.vern.hr/eng/default.aspx )

6. Is your institution fully accredited? If not, when do you expect that your
institution will be fully accredited?

Yes, VERN’ is fully accredited (based on the license granted by the


Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia).

7. What do you think about the accreditation process and the work of the
Accreditation Board in general?

VERN’ fully supports the work of the Accreditation Board in general.


We are in continuous contact with the Accreditation Board in
fulfilling common goal - working on the quality of Croatian higher
education.

8. What is the mission of your institution?

The mission of University of Applied Sciences VERN’ is to produce


highly educated professionals who will meet the challenges of the
modern business world and consequently to upgrade the quality of
the Croatian higher entrepreneurship education.

9. What is the societal role of your higher education institution?

• creation and improvement of programmes that will, by their


content and methods, meet the requirements of the labour
market looking for modern, educated business professionals
