The compulsory paper of 100 marks will consist of the core subjects (as approved by the respective department). The maximum duration of the core paper will be four hours. The elective and specialization paper of 200 marks will have two sections of 100 marks each. One section will be from the specialization area in which student is doing PhD. The other section of 100 marks will be from the list of electives. The student has an option to attempt 100 marks questions from the any sub-area or combination of the subareas of the electives. The passing marks will be at least 60% in total, i.e., 180 marks from both the papers in total. Following is the department-wise syllabus.

Department of Computer Science

1. Core Areas / Subject The compulsory paper will consist of three parts of 33 marks each. Each part completely covers one core subject.
