Praise and Worship Seminar Rebuilding the Tabernacle of David

The following two introductions are to set a ground work for definitions of praise and worship. They are not the one and only definitions, but for the purpose of this book, it will give the ground work for the definitions we will be using. Much can be said about praise and much can be said about worship. I dont think we could ever arrive at one single definitions for both, but we do know that both acts should point to, and glorify, God In this teaching we are going to try to elevate your understanding of these two acts and to get you to a place where you touch the heavenly realms. These two elements will be very vital as part of the end time battle plan of God and his church. Satan hates it when we praise the Lord, as it reminds him of the position he once had in heaven. It must frustrate him to see us do what he once did. This teaching in no way is undermining the power of the spoken Word of God. The Word says that God confirms His Word with signs following in Mark 16. MARK 16:20 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. In Psalms 22 it states that God inhabits the praise of Israel. If He would do that for a nation that turned against him, then it must be pleasing to him have a people that were not his people, praise him. PSALMS 22:3 3 But thou art holy, 0 thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

INTRODUCTION TO PRAISE Praise, in the church, has been a title tagged on to the fast songs during the church service. Usually when you mention praise, people immediately think of the fast songs and classify the slow ones as worship. There is some truth to this but it is not the whole truth. Praise, according to the dictionary is, the act of expressing approval or admiration; commendation; laudation, the offering of grateful homage in words or song. When you hear the term, sing someones praises. this is a reference to praising someone publicly and enthusiastically in word or song. Here are some terms the dictionary references as synonyms for praise: 1. Glorify 2. Magnify 3. Exalt 4. Honor 5. Applause Praise differs from worship in that it creates more of an atmosphere of celebration than worship does. This does not make one better than the other. Each one accomplishes a different purpose and both are necessary for every day life against Satans attacks. A two edged sword is more efficient than a single edged one Praise, throughout the Bible, has made a big impact in the course of events faced by Kings, by a shepherd boy, by a wife whose husband did not love her, by disciples put in prison, and many more. Every believer has been given the ministry of giving praise to God. You may be uncertain of what your ministry or call is but I guarantee you, praise is part of it. Psalms 34:1 confirms this. PSALMS 34:1(b) . ..I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Praise is so powerful, that it will cause the glory of God to come into a situation or place in a dimension that man is unable to even stand in. 2 CHRONICLES 5:13,14 13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; 14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

As a side note that applies in both praise and worship, when coupled with thanksgiving, it will cause a spiritual explosion to occur during the singing. There is something about a thankful heart that God enjoys. Perhaps that is why he said David was a man after his own heart. ACTS 13:22 22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will. God knows that those who sing to Him will be a people that will fulfill all his will. INTRODUCTION TO WORSHIP The word worship is as common in church, as milk is in a refrigerator. Almost every sign in front of a Christian church contains the words worship service followed by a starting date and time. However, if I take the word worship and look it up in the dictionary, then compare it to what is going on inside the churches, I wonder how many of them would actually conform to the definition. The word worship (2) means, reverent honor and homage paid to God or a sacred personage or to any object, regarded as sacred, formal or ceremonious rendering of the honor and homage, to feel an adoring reverence or regard for, to attend service of divine worship. The dictionary then references these as some of the synonyms: 1. Honor 2. Homage 3. Adoration 4. Idolatry 5. Revere 6. Glorify Based on the above definition and six mentioned synonyms, is this actually what is going on in the worship service? Both reflect a passion toward God that can be seen and demonstrated. Yet, how many people actually sleep through the service or are distracted by the events which will transpire after church is over, the entire time they are in the church building? My question is, Did they actually attend a worship service? I wonder if those people that worshipped the golden calf in the book of Exodus would even acknowledge what we do in a sixty minute service, as qualifying for the definition of a worship service. What would King Solomon think of our worship in comparison to what went on at the dedication of the temple in his day? Would King David even recognize who we were worshipping by some of the songs we sing? True worship cannot be void of passion.

Perhaps part of the problem is the way we have been brought up in our Westernized Christianity. From the time we were small children, our parents have told us to sit down, be quiet and dont make any noise. Growing up in church, we still sit down, are quiet and dont make any noise. The Bible says in: JOHN 4: 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. The word worship here in the Greek is a very strong word. It is proskuneo, pros-kooneh-o; which means to kiss, like a dog licking his master .s hand); to fawn or crouch to, i.e. (lit. or fig.) prostrate oneself in homage (do reverence to, adore):-.worship. How much prostration before God, that can be compared to a dog licking his masters hand, goes on during a worship service? Yet according to John 4, this is the way we are told we are to worship God. Maybe there is something wrong with our understanding of worship. Maybe if we were to be honest with ourselves, we would find that we have been performing rather than worshipping. We have been putting on a performance for God and calling it worship. If our service does not match up to Gods requirement, does it qualify to be a worship service? The definition and the demonstration should match. Just as there are attributes, that when put together, give us a definition that matches the bottle of milk we find in the refrigerator, then there must be things, when collectively put together, would give us a definition that would qualify our demonstration of admiration toward God, as being worship. This is what we will be investigating. What is real praise and worship all about? What does it feel like to enter into real praise and worship? What can I do to bring in the glory of God to a service? Personal Testimony Several years ago, just as we were beginning to start our service as usual. we had God interrupt our plans. I had the song list together and knew which fast song we were going to sing, followed by which slow song and how many times each one was going to be sung. The singers had their parts and with no other instrument but a keyboard, we were about to begin singing. Before I could hit the first note, I heard the Lord shout at me, Stop! I dont want to hear a thing you are going to sing!

Well, nows a fine time to tell me. I thought. Just what do you want? He told me that he just wanted us to sing in the spirit. I told my husband that God wants us to sing in the spirit for a minute. He agreed and 3-1/2 hours later we were still singing in the spirit and had a beautiful move of the love of God. That afternoon I asked the Lord why he said he didnt want to hear our songs. What he said next was a real surprise. His comment was, I am tired of people putting their canned songs on a plate, handing it to me, and then telling me they had worship and I was supposed to like it. Would you like it if every day that you came home from work you found a greeting card on the counter that said, Dear Wife, Im so glad you are home. I love you, Your Husband Terry.? Would you like it if they gave you someone elses song and had none of their own to give you? Would you like to be served a plate of all the things you hate and then be told to like it? Im tired of greeting card songs. I want the real thing, just like I have up here. Wow, I never thought of it that way. God wants worship just like he has in heaven. No wonder he didnt want to hear what we were going to sing. I told him, Well then, you are going to have to show us what you want because we dont know how to worship you like that Over the next 10 weeks, God began to show us different ways to worship him. He gave us slow songs, fast songs, marching songs, dancing songs, country western sounding songs and Jewish sounding songs. Every week it was different. We began to be trained by God to give him the songs he wanted to hear. We decided to help God out a bit and after the first ten weeks we attended a worship seminar by some very talented musicians that have made many recordings. Their instruction and methods were very educational but no one talked about what God likes to hear. We had professionalism without abandoned passion. In just those first ten weeks, we had had more encounters with the presence of God than these people had in all their years of leading worship. There was something missing from their music that we had, the presence of God. As we began to seek God, he began to add to our worship. We had people give us instruments and we bought some. We added a drum set and God taught my daughter how to play them. Then we had tambourines, triangles, chimes, rain sticks and maracas. Then God added more drums. We had him add congas, bongos, an earth drum, and two types of drums we dont even have names for. One set looks like small congas but are made out of ceramic and the tops are genuine hide with some of the fur still attached. We are still adding sounds to our worship we never thought possible. Every time we add a new sound, we get closer to the sound of what is going on in heaven. We can tell there is an atmosphere shift closer to God with each new instrument we add.

But there is a qualifying factor about praising and worshipping God, and that is, it is not praise and worship until it comes out of our mouth. There is no such thing as silent worship. It is not praise until it is spoken. To be praise and worship, it must be vocal. EVERYONE HAS A SONG Everyone has a song they can sing to the Lord. He loves the crow as well as the canary. I have found that even when a person is singing off-key, they are still singing one of the notes found on my keyboard. It may not be the one we are singing, but it is there. So they are making a sound that matches a note I use on my keyboard to create music. The Bible tells us to make a joyful noise seven times in the Psalms. All seven of these are instructing us to make a joyful noise with instruments, with psalms and to make it in every nation. No one of these is better than the other so I have listed PSALMS 66:1 1 To the chief Musician, A Song or Psalm. Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: PSALMS 81:1 1 To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of Asaph. Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob. PSALMS 95:1,2 1 0 come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. PSALMS 98 4, 6 4 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. 6 With trumpets and sound of comet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King. PSALMS 100:1 I A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Praise and worship is not something that we just do on Sunday morning or Wednesday night, it is something we should be doing every day of our life. Praise and Worship goes beyond theology, beyond logic, beyond a church service, and will take you somewhere with God you never thought you could go. Praise and worship is a sound God loves to hear. Do you realize that back in the garden, before Adam and Eve ever saw God, they heard Him? Praise and worship is more than

just singing, it is a sacrifice of our lips expressing a desire to get closer to God. It is making a sound that will get the attention of God. Cultures have music that they have adopted that distinguishes who they are. There are some musical sounds that cause us to say, Oh! Thats a Jewish Song. or, That sounds Polynesian. Through cultures combining instruments and sounds, we can almost tell which culture it represents and if it is a romantic song, a peaceful song, a ballad or a war cry. When you hear steel drums playing a calypso type music, it reminds you of the Caribbean. Bagpipes would trigger thoughts of Scotland and Ireland. Drums and rain sticks would make you think about Africa. Sound can dominate a person. If you will listen to some of the investigations when shootings occur, one of the things they look into is the music the person has been listening to, as well as movies, magazines, etc. How many times have you listened to a particular sound and found yourself responding to it. There is a song from the sound track of the movie Spirit that when I listen to it, I can imagine the excitement of the angels over the birth of Jesus. When that song gets into my spirit, I want to just start thanking God for Jesus. My daughter has a totally different reaction to that song. She sees Jesus being raised out of the tomb. We both love the song. There is a new sound coming to the praise and worship in the church. It is an apostolic sound, a commissioning, declaring sound, prophetically declaring the kingdom of God. It is the raising the tabernacle of David sound. AMOS 9:11 11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: ACTS 15:16 16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: What is so special about the tabernacle of David sound? ESTABLISHING THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID AGAIN 1. It was an original it was not Moses tabernacle. David didnt try to bring Gods presence in with that which another man had made. A move of God cant be duplicated by doing what someone else did. Davids tabernacle was actually a tent. Moses was a closed sectional tabernacle. Only the high priest had access to the ark in Moses tabernacle, Davids was open so all could see it.

God wants original praise and worship, not greeting card praise and worship. He wants you to have the freedom to praise and worship and not be ashamed for others to see it. He doesnt want it left to the choir or singers to bring the people into an encounter with Him, but he wants each person to Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. (Psalms 100:4) When you praise and worship from your heart, you are giving God original praise and worship. 2. David only had one thing in his tabernacle the Ark. EXODUS 25:9-11 9 According to all that I show thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it. 10 And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof 11 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about. The Ark represented the presence of God. David knew that more than anything else that was considered valuable; there was nothing more valuable than the presence of God. The Jewish people believed that whoever had possession of the Ark, had the Blessing of God with them. When the presence of God comes into your praise and worship, it is as if all the distractions in your life dont matter any more. You know He will take care of all the things you need. Suddenly there is a prophetic flow that follows, visions occur, and healings manifest. There was a downfall to the way David tried to bring in the Ark. 3. When David started to bring the ark to Jerusalem, j did it the way he saw it leave, on a cart pulled by oxen. This displeased God. He had a method of bringing the Ark into a city and David was not following that method. He was doing it by the way he saw it done before, which was the way it left. God basically showed David, you are not going to do it that way again. Praise and worship has had the same thing happen to it. When there was a move of God, especially through a very anointed song, people try to recreate the move of God they had, by repeating the song. The move might happen once or twice

when you sing the song again, but it will not work like the first time, every time after that. God always has a new song he wants to move upon. He doesnt want us to get stuck on an old song. David told us to sing a new song. In other words, our songs should be according to the direction of the Holy Spirit, not by the works of man. New means just that new not old, not repeating a previous one, but one that has not been there before. 4. David went to inquire of the Lord how HE wanted the Ark to be brought in and he did it right this time. God wants us to bring back praise and worship to the church the way HE wants it done, not the way we have done it in the past. This is where the blessing of God is demonstrated. REPOSITIONING OUR WORSHIP We have always looked at praise and worship as song time. Praise and worship is going to have to be repositioned to get a new result. I heard a man say one time, To do the same thing the same way for twenty-five years, and expect a different result, is insane. But we have done that with God. We have lost the revelation of worship. We have no problem with rhema word. In fact, the revealed word, the rhema word quickens our spirit. But how about rhema praise and worship? God is looking for a heart of praise and worship. If waving a flag, or dancing with outstretched arms, is from your heart, then it causes God to inhabit your praise and worship. A God encounter in worship will revolutionize the way you worship forever. In Order to restore the Tabernacle of David, 3 things must be in position. The first thing was there had to be worshipping servants. There were other types of servants also, but I am only talking about the worshipping ones. Here is what worshipping servants do: 1. THEY SING THE NEW SONG - THE SPONTANEOUS SONG Do you know where the new song came from? The Psalms. Once David brought the ark into the city, he set up worshippers around the ark twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for over 30 years. He then assigned a scribe to write down all that the worshippers said. Here are some of the comments written from the mouths of the worshippers Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. (Psalms 33:3)

And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. (Psalms 40:3) O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth . (Psalms 96:1) I will sing a new song unto thee, 0 God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee. (Psalms 144:9) Even at the close of the age, the new song will continue to be sung. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; (REVELATION 5:9) God loves the new song, because it comes from your heart not from an overhead. It is spontaneous, it is unrehearsed, and it is like hot fresh bread coming out of the oven in Gods nostrils. He loves the fragrance of the new song. Many people do not realize that deliverance from bondages can come m the new song. God can open doors that were locked tighter than a jail door when you enter into the new song. Im inserting a portion of Ezekiel in here but will reference the full meaning toward the end of the manual. Remember that when the waters flow eastward, that was toward the place where the people of Judah had pitched their tents. Judah means praise. When the new song goes up, it can shake people free of demonic influences. EZEKIEL 47:1 1 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar. ACTS 16:25,26 25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every ones bands were loosed. Personal Testimony of the New Song We were having a service and were entering into a high place with a new spontaneous song. It was wonderful. All of a sudden, a girl sitting on the front row began to shake her head back and forth. Suddenly she was shaking it so hard that her earrings flew off in two different directions and she fell to the floor, writhing back and forth

Another girl we had trained in deliverance, and my husband, went over to the lady on the floor that was rolling back and forth. All three of us got the word voodoo at the same time. The two of them took authority over a spirit of voodoo that was operating over this lady and it departed from her. She laid on the floor throughout the entire service and when she got up, she felt fatigued, but was free. 2. THEY DANCE THE PROPHETIC DANCE 2 SAMUEL 6:14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. God wants to re-establish dancing in the church. There is nothing wrong with the dance in the church if it is done right. That is the big key right there, it must be done right. If David danced before the Lord, so should we. PSALMS 149:3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. God wants Holy Spirit lead dance in the church with instruments of all kinds. There is no evil instrument, it is what is played through the instrument than can bring in the Glory of God, or the heaviness of satan. God tells us to put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness in Isaiah 61:3. In order to put on a garment of praise you have to remove the garment of mourning, complaining, fault-finding, criticism, self pity and grumbling. The garment of mourning, which is the spirit of heaviness, belongs in the morgue, not in the house of God. The only ones that resist dancing in the church are those who are carrying resentment, anger, or offense, especially toward those who seem to get things they felt should have been theirs. The one they are carrying the offense against doesnt even have to be in the church. They can be in your own family. Michal resented David, her husband, for dancing before the Lord and it caused her to remain a barren wife unto him. 2 SAMUEL 6:20,23 20 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself! 23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death. The prodigal sons welcome home dance showed us that. In Luke 15: 11-24, the father was so glad to see his prodigal son that he welcomed him home with a feast. There was

music and dancing and joy in the fathers heart, however the elder son resented the joy and merrymaking. He could not participate because of his anger, bitterness and offense. LUKE 15: 27,28 27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. 28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and entreated him. Testimonies of the Prophetic Dance The prophetic dance can be to fast or slow music. I have seen groups come together during a fast song and do line and ring dances, sometimes with men making up the inner circle and women on the outer circle. I have seen flags make an arch and people dance under the arch. At one meeting, a group of women took the cloths used to cover people when they are on the floor, and made a canopy where others could dance under. A real freedom in the dance came in that night I have also seen men take several colored flags and by switching the color combinations as they walked, cause a prophetic dance to occur. Children are some of our best examples. Children have no problem dancing. It can be a song off a radio or a kids program. They may not have the motor control to make it as graceful as a ballet, but they will hop and jump to the beat of a song they like. There was one praise service we attended, where a young girl took a tambourine, got in the circle that had been formed by adults and began to play the instrument while she danced in a circle. She then handed it to another person and they did the same thing. This went on several times and then the joy of the Lord hit, causing some of the worshippers to fall to the floor in laughter. In one church, we were singing a song with the phrase, I am a soldier; I am a warrior for the cross. The people got up, grabbed instruments and flags and began to march around the room. At one point in their march, many were knocked to the floor and couldnt get up. Later, when asked what happened several reported seeing a stream appear across their path. When they put their foot in it, they fell to the floor, and when they got up, those who needed healing were healed During a service, one woman was dancing and making unusual arm gestures, stooping down and picking up something. When asked later what happened she said she was transported to heaven and saw her pet dog that had died several years earlier, running along a stream. He began to play with her and she was so excited to see him. That event, whether it was a vision or it actually occurred, brought that woman a release from her grief over the pet and a refreshed excitement for the Lord.

(God loves our pets In fact, he - loves animals so much that he named His son after two of them the Lion of Judah, and the Lamb of God.) My favorite testimony was given to us by a woman from France. She couldnt speak English so she used an interpreter to give us the account of what happened. She said she saw a man come up to the platform. He was white and brilliant. He motioned to another man that came from his right side and instructed the man to go out and mark the ones whose hands were raised and their mouths were open praising God. The second man (which was probably an angel) went forth with a branch and touched the finger tips of those whose hands were raised and their mouths were praising and she said she saw the blood cover them. When he was done, he returned to the platform and the first man spoke again. This time the first man summoned angels to appear and they began to flood the room from all directions. They began to dance on the ceiling, dance with people, sing with people, and some placed things in the peoples hands. This went on for 30-40 minutes. Afterwards, several people came up and showed us what was in their hands. One had a seed, another, a diamond which she later took to a jeweler to have it verified, one a white feather that seemed to have no pinion, to another, a flake that was gold and many more things. Youre probably wondering why all these things appeared. I dont have an answer to that but down the road, it will be important to those people and they will know why. In the last days the Bible says we will see signs and wonders. I had a man tell me once, Wonders make you wonder. Thats the best explanation I have heard yet. 3. GOD WANTS TO SING TO HIS PEOPLE! Then Prophecy will come forth in a new dimension. When God hears us singing to Him, He wants to respond. The Word tells us that He responds to our singing about Him, what He has done for us, and when we just glorify His name. ZEPHANIAH 3:17 17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing Notice here BE is doing the singing and it is in the mode of joy. Now why do you think God is doing it with joy? Maybe it is because we are no longer singing about ourselves, but him. 4. SATAN WANTS TO DESTROY PRAISE AND WORSHIP IN THE CHURCH Satan knows the power that music has. Ezekiel 28:13 states this.

EZEKIEL 28:13 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. When satan fell, he took the understanding he had for music with him. That understanding didnt disappear, just because he was removed from heaven. It became a tool he would use to attempt to destroy mankind with. He perverts music now by backmasking it, or putting crude wording with it, and then releases it as a weapon to destroy our generation. Just as there is music that is so inspiring that it will bring a person into the presence of God, there is music that will destroy and bring a curse on all who touch it or have anything to do with it. There is a song written by Tschaikovsky. It is called the Pathetique from his sixth symphony. Musicians that are knowledgeable of this symphony would considerate you as giving them the gift of death if you were to hand them a recording of it. Tschaikovsky and his nephew, died while playing this symphony, from an unexplained cause. In 1915, a double death of Maestro Ossip Gabrilowitsch and Ray Schmidt ( a young clarinet player) occurred in Detroit, Michigan, while playing this symphony before an audience. Conductor Victor Kolar, who didnt believe that deaths were caused by this symphony, had to admit that in each of the 15 times he conducted this symphony, someone dear to him died. For each time he conducted this symphony, it paralleled a close relative of his dying. Under Hitlers reign, Captain Hans Langsdorff cut his own throat while listening to a bootleg recording of this music This symphony was performed in 1849 in Paris. Tenor Eugene Masol began to sing part of the movement which contained the words, Oh, God, kill him! With that, another member of the cast screamed and fell to the ground dead. The next night, on the same phrase, a wealthy opera patron, Pierre Dupont, died. The third evening, orchestra leader Kurt Habenich, died while performing it. Emperor Napolean, after having a near encounter with death himself during the performance banned it from being played. Satan can attach himself to certain music and inspire it to bring evil and even death, upon the hearer. Look how many suicides occur after a rock concert. Music has a way of uniting us. We can be united with evil or with the presence of God. When you sing, you become one with those singing with you. Be careful with whom you sing Do you know what they sing about when you are not around?

Personal Testimony of Music Let me tell you a personal story in my own life concerning my experience with music. Shortly after I got saved, my parents gave their heart to Jesus. My brother decided he was not going to give his heart to the Lord at that time. (He later did.) He had some record albums by Black Sabbath and would listen to them. I had gone off to college, but before I did, my mother bought a picture of Jesus and hung it in the hallway outside my bedroom door and next to my brothers door. He would play his music in his room and we would find the picture of Jesus on the floor. There was nothing wrong with the nail that held it there (it had not moved or was bent) and no one had knocked it down. Every time my mother would go past that picture and my brother was home playing his music, we would find the picture on the floor. She finally called me at school and asked me why I thought it was happening. I told her it may be because of the type of music my brother was listening to. I told her it was her house and she had to decide what she was going to have come into it. Whether she permitted that music or not, I doubted there would be a change until either the picture went or the music did. She said she confronted my brother and made him get rid of the music. After that, we never found the picture on the floor again. THREE LEVELS OF SONG There are three levels in the songs that men sing in relationship to the Lord. Each one is good, there are no bad ones, but only one leads to bringing in the glory of God at a high level. You can be a performer in praise and worship, or a worshipper. The way you tell the difference is that when you ask a performer to stop singing and sit down, they get mad. If you tell a worshipper to sit down, he will gladly and yet he will keep on worshipping. He doesnt need to be seen by others to worship. He just does it for God. Here are the three levels. A. ManSingingTo Man This is when we listen to music by recording artist and from concerts Man is singing to man. We are hearing songs about the Lord, but not to the Lord. An example of this would be a phrase like, Jump in the river, its deep and wide... or I can only imagine... or Come, now is the time to worship... They contain references to what God has done or provided, but they are not to him

This DOES NOT make them bad songs, I like them, but they are man singing to man. b. man singing about themselves - For a long time I was in this category. I was singing songs that declared my status with God. Here phrases like, Let the Redeemed of the Lord say so... or Im so happy... or Im free... are being sung, but they are about us, not God. Phrases of man singing about themselves, would be an I am ... phrase followed by who they are (redeemed, a soldier, etc.) C. Man Singing About And To God Through The Spirit - Here is where glory happens This is where we can enter the dimension which triggers God singing over us. It does not take a lot of words to get this happening. Sometimes it is only a couple of words repeated over and over again to usher in the Glory of God. You can sing the phrase: You are Holy and suddenly His Holiness appears. You can sing Glory to your name Lord and glory comes. Your can sing thank you repeatedly and the next thing you know the atmosphere is charged with excitement. Repeating a phrase over and over, even for more than an hour, is not dull to God. After all, the angels have been crying Holy, holy, holy around His throne for all eternity and He never tires of it. Let me tell you the story of the chocolate chip cookie Imagine, for a moment, I have baked you some chocolate chip cookies and made them , especially for you, with everything in them you really liked, texture and all. You come in and pick up one of the cookies and eat it. Then you turn around and leave, never saying thank you. Never saying, These are good, never saying anything. How soon do you think I will make these cookies for you again? Now imagine yourself taking one of these cookies and you start to rave about them. You start telling me how wonderful they taste, that they are your favorite and no one can make them like I can. Do you think it will take months before I make them for you again? No, I will want to make another batch for you tomorrow. You took pleasure in what I did for you, and I take pleasure in hearing you tell me so.

God is like that too. He wants to hear us tell him about how wonderful a God he is, how there is no god like our God. He wants to hear our thankfulness about what he has done for us. When he starts hearing that, he is anxious to do something else for us, just so we will come back and thank him again When man sings to and about the wonders of our God, there is something that happens in the atmosphere. It is in the dimension of man singing to and about our God, by the Spirit, that a person can be transported out of time and into another realm. If you look at the Psalms, especially Psalms 22, you will find eight references to words that were spoken when Jesus was on the cross. How did that happen? The Psalmist got into worship at such an intense level that he was able to transcend time, go out to an event called the crucifixion, hear the words that were spoken and come back and speak them forth to the scribe that was writing everything he said down. Imagine if you could do that right now and even go out twelve months from now, or twenty-four months from now, into the spirit realm and see an event before it ever happens. It is done in worship. WORSHIPPERS CAN BELIEVE GOD FOR THE IMPOSSIBLE When God wants to do something big, He will always look for a worshipper. When God brought the Ark of the Covenant in to Jerusalem, he did not do it through Saul. Saul had all the outward appearances that made him look like a worthy leader, but in the end, it was a different story. David, on the other hand, didnt have much going for him, even his family didnt think much of his skills or abilities for leadership. When Samuel came to anoint a son of Jesse, David was not brought before Samuel. Samuel had to ask Jesse if there were any more sons. That says a lot about the familys opinion of David. What Samuel had come to do in the household of Jesse was not a small thing. He is there to anoint a king to rule Israel! If a prophet shows up at your house to anoint one of your sons to be a king, certainly you would want the whole family there to see it. Jesse gathered all his sons, but one, for the prophet. This was a major event and David wasnt even asked to come watch it. That explains to me why people feel uncomfortable around worshippers. They are afraid that God will pick them to be a leader over those who are operating by experience and appearance.

But God knew David was a worshipper. He had had his experience with picking a man by appearance. He knew that a worshipper would always fulfill his will. God made this comment about David: And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will. (Acts 13:22) That is one comment I want to hear God say about me. Do you want to have him talk about you like that? The impossible can always be done by a worshipper. A worshipper can believe that God will do the impossible. When God needed someone to take down Goliath, he went to David. David believed God would help him to bring the giant down. Saul was not a worshipper so he did not have the relationship with God that David did. The difference between David and Saul was, David worshipped God and got direction from him directly. Saul wanted someone else (Samuel) to go before God to get the directions. Saul did not exercise himself in praise and worship like David did. That takes time and can become a sacrifice. One thing that made the early church so effective was they were praising, worshipping and praying at home so much that when they got together, it was explosive. When God wants to do the impossible, he will look for a worshipper to do it through. Are you one of those people he looks for? THE ATMOSPHERE OF WORSHIP Once you build an atmosphere of praise and worship, the hardest thing to do is maintain it. What happens to you three hours after you leave a service? Or six hours after? What will you be like tomorrow? Here is something the Lord showed us in 2 Chronicles 5:1114 2 CHRONICLES 5:11-14 11 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course: 12 Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their Sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:) 13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make \ sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD: and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;

14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God. Notice the first thing the priests did was to sanctify themselves. No one else can do this for you. We can not go into praise and worship with unforgiveness and offense. That will kill praise and worship instantly. Imagine what that smells like to God. Then look at verse 13. It says the trumpeters and singers were as one. This means the musicians and the people were focused on the same thing. How many of us come to church with our own agenda. We want the songs to last so many minutes, no more than 2 fast songs, one slow song, and the music better not be loud, the room must be perfect not too hot or too cold. If it is not to our liking, we leave. Our agenda may not be Gods. People that are jumping, leaping, and smacking tambourines, when God is calling us to get on our face before him, are very distracting. They are not moving with the flow of what the Spirit of God is doing. What you do in the service should always overlay with the entire service direction. We run into this with those who want to soak, while the rest of us are building an atmosphere in praise. When you find one person sitting there with their arms folded, eyes and mouth closed, while others are singing, it is distracting. It drains the rest of the worshippers that are trying to press in to the presence of God. It makes you feel like you have to push a mule through a gate. On behalf of the musicians, I want to encourage people NOT TO SOAK during the singing. This creates a hardship on us who make up the worship team. We are trying to take you into the presence of God and we feed off of your participation. Remember, there is no one up here that encourages us to keep going like you, the congregation, can In verse 13, notice that no one is soaking, they are praising. There is a time to soak, but it is not during the time of praise and worship. There is no unity in that. It is actually a form of rebellion. When singing is going on, then we should all be singing. That is when we can make one sound. In verse 13, they were singing one phrase for his mercy endureth forever. You can sing that one phrase to so many different melodies and get all kinds of manifestations of the glory of God. You can also enter the glory of God by taking one melody and change the words.

This is effective for creating a new song too. Look at how many television commercials are built around a popular 1970s song. In these verses, they created such an atmosphere, that the Glory of God was compelled to come down. How many of you want to do the same thing? You cant do it your way. It has to be Gods way. In 1 KINGS 8, we hear Solomon making a prayer to the Lord in behalf of the people. That if they humble themselves and pray, that God would hear their prayers. The whole petition and proclamation is in that chapter. Then it gives the account of the Glory coming down in such a dimension that the priest can not stand to minister. In chapter 9, something happens that, for the most part, just read over. But it is critical to maintaining the atmosphere I KINGS 9:1-4 1 And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the kings house, and all Solomons desire which he was pleased to do, 2 That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon. 3 And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. 4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments: And if thou wilt walk before me... God was telling Solomon, If you want to maintain this level of my Glory that you just experienced, there is going to have to be a condition met to maintain it. You are going to have to make a commitment back to me. When you buy a new car, there isnt much maintenance required. Nine years down the road, you are experiencing the cost of maintenance. To keep the car operational is going to require maintenance. In the New King James, the first four words of verse four read, And now if you... Recognize this, it is going to require all of us making an individually commitment, to maintain this thing. Unfortunately, there are going to be some that will not make the commitment, they leave after the service and that is the end. They had a good time but that is where they stop It will take a commitment from you to maintain this after the seminar is over. It is going to take a commitment from you to pursue what is next. There is more to follow. We are just giving you a taste of what is to come.

We need to have God encounters that will so revolutionize our heart in worship that we dont want to sleep, we dont want to eat and we cant think of anything else but getting in his presence. God wants to dwell among his people in such a great way, but it will take each of us working together to accomplish his hearts desire. How many of you have ever had friendship bread. Once that starter starts growing, it just keeps growing and growing. You give it to a friend, and next thing you know, its growing again. So you give away more and more and finally people are saying, Please, dont give me any more starters! God is looking for starters so he can impart to others. But you have to feed the starter, or else it will die. (This is just another reason why participation in the congregation is important.) It is one thing to have the encounter, but another thing to maintain it. Do you realize Solomons encounter with the Glory of God coming down was not supposed to be a one time event? It was supposed to be the beginning of a much larger encounter. The Glory of God coming down was only the start. Something bigger than that was supposed to come. God wanted this to go farther. We know that because Isaiah 6 endorses it. Isaiah says that the ...whole earth is full of his glory... Solomons encounter was to be the launching pad to the fulfillment of Isaiah 6 It was supposed to be the start of this scripture. Lets look at Isaiah 6 ISAIAH 6:1-4 1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2 Above it stood the seraphims (COPPER COLORED WINGED, FIERY CREATURES): each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. 4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Notice, the post of the door are not moved at the voice of one, but the voice of him (verse 4) that cried. Lets just try that for a moment. (Demonstration Verse 3) We can become so user friendly that we are no longer God friendly. What we do in praise and worship, should be that according to Gods pattern, not our tradition. If our tradition has lost revelation and relationship, then why do we participate with it?

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE MUSICAL SOUND IN THE LAST DAYS I want you to turn to Ezekiel 47:1. It was touched upon earlier in the manual, but now I want you to see the tie between what goes on in heaven and the power of praise and worship. EZEKIEL 47:1-6 47:1 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house (THIS IS THE SAME HOUSE AS IN ISAIAH 6) ; and, behold, waters (FLOOD WATERS) issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south (DISTRICT OF JUDAH WHICH MEANS PRAISE) side of the altar. 2 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh Eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side. 3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles. 4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again be measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins. 5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over. 6 And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river. Let me tell you what that line is in verse three. It is the Hebrew word qav, kay which means, a cord (as connecting), especially for measuring; a musical string. This line is not a normal ruler. It is not a plumb line, it is a MUSICAL STRING. And he measured with it. Isnt it amazing that music is written in measures. Are you catching the connection? The flow and the depth of the river of God will be measured by a musical string. The more praise and worship you have the deeper the river will rise. God wants to bring in a flood in the level of praise and worship. I wonder how much of the church is ready for a flood. They like the river, but not the flood. In a flood, all kinds of fish can swim. After all Jesus said he was going to make us fishers of men. In a river, only certain size fish can swim. Want to catch a whale? You will never do it in a river. But you can in an ocean. The bigger the body of water, the bigger the fish you can catch.

How many fishermen do you know that fish out of a birdbath? Isnt that what is happening in some churches? They are trying to catch fish with water from a birdbath. Put them near the river and they panic. So what would they do in a flood? But the flood is what comes from the throne of God. THE DAY OF ATONEMENT In one of the books on the history of Israel, a Roman citizen recorded the event of the Day of Atonement. This was a grand event celebrated by the Jewish people every year. The Roman citizen recorded something unusual about the power of worship during this ceremony. On the Day of Atonement, it was customary for a processional to begin the event. Over 100 policemen equipped with silver rods, lined the street to hold back the crowds. The processional would be lead by the royal family and followed by the household of David. This numbered approximately 36,000 people. Following them were the musicians, singers and Levites. This numbered 24,000. When the people sang the word Amen, the birds would fall out of the sky. The Bible refers to birds as being a work of the enemy. It was birds that tried to devour Abrahams sacrifice and birds that ate the seed that the sower sowed. In the movie Aladdin. three tasks were given to Aladdin if he wanted the princess as his wife. The third task he had to accomplish was getting a birds egg out of a nest that sat in the cleft of a mountain. It was guarded by a large, condor-type bird. Every time Aladdin got close to the egg, the bird would come down and swoop across Aladdin, preventing him from getting to the egg. Aladdin took out the magic lamp he found, that gave him three wishes. At this point in the movie, he had used up two of the three wishes to accomplish the first two tasks, and now only had one wish left. He rubbed the lamp and the genie appeared. Aladdin didnt want to use his last wish on the egg, so he just stood there. With that the bird came back and began to dive bomb the genie. Annoyed with the bird, the genie smacked the bird away and it fell into the canyon below This may not be the best illustration, but it shows the opinion of God toward those things that are blocking us from reaching our destiny in the Lord. When you praise and worship, the Lord your God, inhabits your praises. It isnt long before he is saying, What are these birds doing here troubling you like this? and back-hands them out of your life. Glory!

SOUND IS A SERIES OF WAVES AND VIBRATIONS The sound created in praise and worship can break addictions, tear down strongholds, cause deliverances, repentance and healing. It can bring revelation and visions, angelic manifestations, gold to fall, oil to appear and the glory to rain Music began the day God chose to create light. Both light and sound travel in waves. The term electromagnetic waves was given to light and according to the length of this wave, it determines which type of light is operating. Within the electromagnetic light waves are a series of what is called radio waves. This range of waves is much smaller and we as humans, can only hear a very small percent of those. It is scientifically determined that we are only able to see three percent of the light spectrum and not quite an equal amount of the sound spectrum Therefore, when God said Let there be light, (Genesis 1:3) he also proclaimed the beginning of sound. Everything that God spoke forth came by his creative voice. It was the sound of His voice. There is a sound that encompasses all the frequencies in the sound spectrum. We find it in Revelation 14:2. REVELATION 14:2 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: In science class, we are taught that there are four elements universally recognized. They are water, wind, fire and earth. Within the waves or vibrations of those elements we find all the frequencies of the sound spectrum. The first three: wind, water and fire, are self explanatory. They sound like what they are named. But we are made out of the fourth element. God created us as animated dirt. Man, created in Gods image and likeness, has been given the creative ability to release the sound of God When we praise and worship, we can sound like the wind of a tornado, like fires of a forest or a mighty waterfall. Then combine it with our own vocal ranges, and various languages, and it will create the sound of many waters When Adam was created, God breathed the breath of life into him. GENESIS 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul

The first sound Adam ever experienced or heard was the sound of Gods breath. God is still breathing today. We have been given the option, the free will, to choose to align our sound with the voice of God and what he is creating life in, the sound of heaven, or reject it. Our praise and worship can sound like what is going on around the throne or it can be reduced to sounding like a copied recording Throughout history, the spiritual climate of Gods people was always linked to a musical indicator. Every revival has released new music and new sounds. Musical technology leaps forward during periods of revival. Music and sounds that appealed to revivals at the turn of the century do not trigger the same response in the generation of today. God unveils the songs and sounds in relationship to the present revelation in His people In these days, God seems to be combining all of the previous moves of sound, vibration and waves as this planet gears up for His return. He is combining the shout of Joshua at Jericho. It is a shout of praise that can bring walls down. He is releasing the sound of marching that was heard in 2nd Samuel 5:23-24 which causes the enemy to scatter. This was the sound of the heavenly host of warriors fighting on Davids behalf. We can hear the sound of those warriors fighting for us when we worship 2 SAMUEL 5:23,24 23 And when David inquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees. 24 And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines Once again we are going to hear the horses and chariots of fire that Elisha heard as God opens up our spiritual eyes and ears to see and hear what God wants to accomplish in praise and worship. Imagine hearing a sound that will loose famine, poverty, depression and oppression. Or hearing the sound that will destroy ungodly authority and false religions. When we create the sound of heaven, how will satan know if it is us making that sound or God? Would he even want to hang around to find out? Music through out history has brought life to the presence of God, the ability to receive revelation of God and to break the chains of bondage from satan. Prophets of old would call for minstrels to heighten their ability to hear what God was saying. David would play a sound for King Saul that would quiet the spirit that tormented

him. In the book of Job, it even references the stars singing. The Bible tells us the heavens declare the Glory of God. The Key of D There have been published, some statistical, scientific information regarding the effects of sound in our world. Remember that all sound is a result of vibrations. Just like a dog whistle being blown, we can not pick up that vibration with our ear, but a dog can. Scientists have found that plants have an amazing response to the voice of birds. Certain birds are capable of singing certain keys. When a bird sings in a certain key, it will cause plants to open up and to receive moisture from the earth. (It is also believed that their song can influence rain, but this is not totally proven yet.) If the plant has the choice between leaning into the sound, or leaning into sunlight, it will lean into the sound, if it is a certain key. The sound that causes plants to open up and receive moisture is the KEY OF D When we heard that plants would open up to the sound of the Key of D we wondered if that same key would have any affect on us, as people, to open up to receive the spiritual moisture of the Holy Spirit My husband and I went up to the church and played the chord of D on the keyboard An hour later we were so overwhelmed with the presence of God that my husband felt waves go over him until he ended up at the back wall of the church. The presence of God was wonderful and we didnt want to leave. Something had opened up inside of us that was different than what we normally experienced We now play this key during times of prayer and have many times moved right into a prophetic song or a new song from it. This is also the same principle that Gurus use to change the course of waterfalls by their Om. By tapping into a sound, they have tapped into a realm God gave us when he gave us dominion on this earth, and are counterfeiting it. If this key is powerful enough to take my husband and push him against a back wall, open up the presence of God and the next day the residue was still there, imagine what could happen if the Body of Christ would worship God in this key during an occult gathering, in the presence of a battle, or during a false religions ceremony Imagine if people who were previously closed to the gospel, heard us make this sound, and it causes them to open up to the gospel. Those who would reject a three point message, would be drawn by the sound and not know why they are opening up to the Lord. There is power in worship in this key

God is moving us from one dimension of his glory to another God wants us to expect more than we have in the past. We are going to demonstrate this at this time DEMONSTRATE KEY OF D Key of E-Flat When you strike a tuning fork, it causes the bar parallel to it to begin to vibrate. When you begin to worship, you begin a series of vibrations in the spirit realm. Can you imagine yourself coming up to an unsaved person while you are vibrating with the presence of God? Imagine what will happen to them when you arrive We heard a story of a girl that went into a music store that was noted as a place that heavy metal guitarist frequented. She had just been in the Glory of God. A young man trying out a guitar looked up at her and began to bark. When he realized what he had done, he was surprised at himself and didnt know what to say All matter is made up of protons and neutrons. What do protons and neutrons do? They vibrate. In your DNA, there is what is called a string. And do you know what this string does? It vibrates! That is why Jesus said if he silenced the disciples that the rocks would cry out. LUKE 19:37-40 37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; 38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. 39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. 40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out The sound of vibrations is built into your DNA! Imagine what is happening to your DNA while you are worshipping! Catch this. Are there deformities in your DNA? What is God doing to your DNA while you are worshipping? Do you remember those little boxes that are used for chasing away spiders, bugs, and insects? You plug them into the wall and they make a sound you cant hear? The ultrasonic sound will run off a pest. Three years ago you would have to pay $120 for this box and you dont even know if it is working because you cant hear it. But the pest can and they run off. In fact, here is the statement off of one of those boxes. It says, BOMBARD THOSE PEST WITH SOUND. Today they are $19 and the latest technology is using laser to run them off. Now, not only can you not hear the sound, but you cant see it either

Isnt that like worship? We can get into a frequency that will run off a spiritual pest. Imagine if you get into the Holy Spirit and He gives you the frequency that causes cancer to die. What if you got the frequency, the vibrations, or waves, that addictions are at? What if we could get to the frequency that the religious spirit operating on. Can you imagine the religious spirits screaming and running off? What about if we could gather together in a nation and the Holy Spirit says, The devil of false religions can not survive in the key of E Flat. (As a note: we have played the key of E Flat and seen people mentally set free of spiritual oppression. This was mentioned earlier in the manual.) There is a spiritual release from demonic oppression that occurs in the key of E Flat. This is also the lead key that ushers in an intense level of the prophetic. We are going to demonstrate it to show you what we mean and I want you to see how many of you start feeling the prophetic stirring inside of you Demonstrate Key Of E-Flat Key of F Did you know there is a key that de-thrones certain diseases? They have found that certain diseases can not survive in the key of F. Look at what Job says in chapter 27, verse 23 JOB 27:23 23 Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place The word hiss means to be shrill, i.e. to whistle or hiss. This word appears 12 times in the Bible. When taking samplings of people whistling, it was found that most spontaneous whistling is done in the key of F You can whistle, sing, or be shrill in the key of F and cause certain diseases to be dethroned. Imagine the vibration in the key of F and what it sounds like to the disease. Then add the act of clapping and you are knocking the devil, the evil one, out of his place. We need to put him in his place. Now, there is another scripture I want you to look at too. It is found in Isaiah 51 ISAIAH 51:15 But I am the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is his name The Hebrew word used for divided is raga. It means, to toss violently and suddenly, break, divide, make suddenly. There is a sound that is a violent sound. It is one that

breaks, divides and makes sudden changes. It is a warfare sound. It is a marching sound, a thundering sound He is using this word raga in conjunction to the thought that lie is the Lord of Host. The host that lie is the Lord of is (according to the Hebrew): a mass of persons especially regularly organized for war (an army); (spec. worship):--appointed time, (+) army, (+) battle, company, host, service, soldiers, waiting upon, war (-fare). Now if He is the Lord of a mass of persons regularly organized for war at an appointed time, and they are a company, a service of soldiers waiting upon warfare, then it doesnt appear to mc, that we should overlook our part in dividing the sea of our enemy When God divides a sea, He expects the enemy, not his people, to be swallowed up in it. We can do our part by making the sound that will swallow up the enemy. How do we do that? With our feet. Raga is also the sound of our feet hitting the ground. The one thing the enemy never wants to hear is the sound of the army marching toward him This is where we get the warfare praise and worship from I want you to hear the sound of the drum making a marching sound and march with it. Demonstrate The Drum Sound Only I want you to sing, whistle, and clap with all your strength and watch what happens. Demonstration Of The Key Of F Did you know you can take a traditional song or a contemporary song and turn it into a flood? Sometimes we need to break up the song by measures to do that Here is a demonstration We are first going to sing the phrase of To Him Who Sits on the Throne. Dont do anything more, until I tell you to sing the last part. When I let you know we are going to go on, then give it all you have in your spirit, as if you could see God standing there next to you listening We will move into a spontaneous song from there so if we lose you, just regroup and jump back in. This is practice and demonstration, so dont let it bother you. Youll catch the hang of it. Currently, we dont know all the songs of heaven, but when we get there, we will have the opportunity to learn them. Thats why we are calling this a practice. Theres more after this Demonstrate The Song To Him Who Sits On The Throne.

THREE IMPORTANT POINTERS FOR THE WORSHIP TEAM IN PRAISE AND WORSHIP

WHEN YOU ARE IN A CERTAIN KEY AND THE PRAISE AND WORSHIP IS
FLOWING, DONT CHANGE THE KEY. Dont jump around from key to key. That breaks up the harmony and the flow. If your service never gets out of the first song, thats okay. That is where God is moving

DONT RUSH THROUGH A SONG. Work with it. Keep working with it till
something happens. Your worship team needs to help you build on it, even if all they sing is the word glory while you are playing on it

DONT ALLOW DEAD SPOTS IN YOUR WORSHIP. There are times when you
suddenly come up with a blank and dont know what to sing. Just sing hallelujah or glory or have someone else jump in with words. If you are by yours elf then sing words in the spirit for a minute. Suddenly you will hear the words to the song Now as we close, I would like to demonstrate how this same song can evolve into a new, spontaneous song. Just sing along as you hear the words come forth. I realize this is new territory, but be creative. Its your first time. No one can make a mistake at it. You can sing along as you hear the words, which we will keep simple, or sing in the spirit. We will try to stick with some basic words and phrases. A WORD TO THE MUSICIANS Being a musician involved in the new sound is like being a new coin. There are two shiny sides to this, but only one side is up at any time. Either the people are with you or you are on your own 1. Always Remember, Youre Not The Leader Remember, you are not the leader, the Holy Spirit is. And there are times when you will feel like, If I cross over here, and I dont know what to do, maybe it will crash. In my own experience, I will hear a melody or sound and think, If I play that, will anyone else hear what I am hearing and jump in with me? I have learned, if they dont, they will let me know and I can switch back to where I was. I just have to do it gently so as not to disrupt the flow of the spirit Surrendering control is not easy. But the Holy Spirit will tell you how to bring the people in. Just DONT INSIST ON YOUR OWN WAY. If the music is not overlaying with the song before it, admit it to yourself and turn it back. Its no big deal. This is especially true with the drum beat. Drummers need to be sensitive as they hear the heart beat of the father and then stay focused on their part as a team member

2. Every Worship Team Needs A Moses When you are playing with other musicians and singers, you are a team. There has to be a leader, a Moses, in the worship, so establish that from the beginning. A lead singer should be preferred for this position The lead singer should NEVER operate out of pride nor insist on having all the revelation. If the leader draws a blank during the singing, the others should cover. We have had beautiful music come from a back-up person and in one situation, a person that played one of our drums, got the words to a melody that ushered in a song The leader was sensitive to the Holy Spirit and backed away until they could flow with the leading by the drum player. The drum player did not come up to the microphone until they had a person covering the drum sound for them so that beat would not be interrupted. The leader should never be so insecure that they can not let someone else lead. The leader should never be so controlling that a person that comes up with a song or verse to a melody is afraid to sing it out. This is especially true when it comes to prophesying in song 3. WhoDetermines The Tempo And Sound? In most cases, the drummer is the one that sets the tempo for the praise and worship. In the new sound, that is not always the case. Our keyboard sets the sound and the tempo and the drummer jumps in. Those two instruments need to work together more than the others. There will be times when the keyboard is going to shift sounds and the drummer needs to be in tune with that. The other instruments should back away until the new sound is established I generally make a hand gesture of telling them to take it down so I can switch. They can bring it back up after that Watch the reverb on the guitars. This is not a nightclub. We had a young guitarist that was extremely talented play with us for a while. He loved to hear the reverb squeal. For some reason, that sound totally breaks the sweetness of a song. Please refrain from using reverbs during praise and worship Guitars should fill in, not dominate unless there is an opening for them to take the lead to enhance a song. We have non-vocal parts to our music that allows us to add a little something to the song. Usually this occurs during the songs where people are dancing, and it allows the singers to get a drink of water too. We all work together on the non-vocal parts

4. The Singers Singers that have a very high voice should back away from microphones during singing. It is hard for a soprano to sing tenor or alto, but if they can do that, then let them sing with you. If they can not bring their vocal range down to where the singers are, or at least harmonize within a 2 step range up or down, then it is better that they worship with the congregation. Remember, performers would be insulted with this comment, but a worshipper will not get offended by it. This is not the place for a solo, so reserve sopranos that are locked into that vocal range for special songs, not for this part. 5. The Pastor Remember your pastor is still in control. When he wants the worship to stop, then stop. Hopefully he will be sensitive enough to discern when God is about to break-through in a new way and not stop it. This is new territory for him too From time to time, our service will be entirely worship, break out in the prophetic, then go back to the worship. During these times, the pastor understands that he is not going to have enough time to give his sermon. Sometimes, he will sing the passages he was going to preach in the praise and worship Other times it will be the laying on of hands in song For you pastors that are dreading this, allow God to use you creatively. Dont be afraid to deviate from the traditional service. You may find yourself liking this and getting a lot more out of it If your pastor is resistant to this because of all his own uncertainties, then maybe the worship team could have a time on a Friday night getting together at the church and have a worship jam fest. This will allow you to practice some of these techniques to get comfortable with them This very thing happened at a church we were attending. The musicians were practicing and some people came to hear them play. They entered into a fun time praising and worshipping The next thing that happened was a supernatural fire from God enveloped the church. It was seen burning but did not consume the church. Those inside did not know it was happening until the fire department showed up to put this blaze out This started the church into a huge revival that lasted for years. Footnotes
