Smart Grids Project: Hochschule Darmstadt, Germany Summer Intern May-July 09, May-July 10 Developed a fuzzy logic based Decision Assistant to help in inflow/outflow of electrical power from various sources in case of energy deficit/excess in the corporate sponsored smart grid project for HEAG Sdhessische Energie AG (HSE). Developed an artificial neural network based load forecast system for different time resolutions which improves preparedness for various situation. Was invited for 2 years in a row owing to successful completion of my part and dedication in the project. Was offered a PhD position in the university. L&T India Limited Vadodara, India Summer Intern June-July08 Did analytical research for the company in relation to their fore coming projects and made presentations regarding the same.
Key Academic Projects:

Simulation and Design of a 3 Rectifier for wind power Generators: (MTP) IIT Kharagpur Modeling and simulation of the circuit for testing the fundamentals and component values. In the second phase, the circuit is to be implemented on a hardware model. Modeling of fuel Cells: (BTP) IIT Kharagpur Modeling and simulation of fuel cells using Simulink in order to have a better understanding of fuel cells working and factors affecting efficiency. Was appreciated for comprehensive topic coverage and was awarded with an A grade. Prediction of currency crisis using hybrid Neuro-fuzzy modeling: (term project) IIT Kharagpur Developed a Neuro-fuzzy based forecast system for currency crisis based on factors like economic reserves, M2/reserves ratio, exports and exchange rate. Working of the Indian Energy Exchange: (term project) IIT Kharagpur Prepared and presented a term paper to study the process and strategies of energy trading in Indian Energy Exchange.
Positions of Responsibility:

Hall President: (09 -10)

Patel Hall, IIT Kharagpur Was solely responsible for the smooth functioning of the hall which is a residence for nearly 450 students. Planned and executed changes like renovation of online mess system, monitored working of cleaning contractors and sports infrastructure improvement. Proposed a total budget of nearly Rs 500,000 from which I directly planned an expenditure of Rs

200,000. Helped in presenting a very successful Illumination, achieving 1st position in the sports general championship and a 2nd position in the Social & Cultural general championship. Member, Students Senate & Students Forum (09 -10) Gymkhana, IIT Kharagpur Represented my hall as a member in the two topmost student bodies of IIT Kharagpur.
